Congratulations to Dr. @AnnieAndrewsMD on a landmark Senate victory! A pediatrician and mom, Annie proved no seat is out of reach with the right leadership. We’re proud to have stood with her in this race.

We watched Hitchcock’s Psycho over the weekend in honor of Halloween. That image of the eye has stood the test of time.

So excited for this! Tokyo @teamLab_net was one of the most moving immersive art experiences I’ve had.

I've been waiting to hear from Amy Chozick, a major character in the Elizabeth Holmes/Nathan Fielder movie who never appears on screen. She doesn't disappoint: A great piece that complicates the narrative about a movie that's all about how narratives are complicated. nytimes.com/2026/10/30/opini…

"The buzz has been contagious. Companies have rushed to attach themselves to the phenomenon: Coffee shops and restaurants have devised drinks and desserts inspired by the book; Swedish clothing brand H&M has introduced a collection drawing on 19th-century fashion; and ING Bank Śląski commissioned contemporary writers to imagine alternative lives for Prus’ characters — including how they might handle their money — and turned the stories into audiobooks." bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Reddit call was absolutely fascinating. Everyone should listen to it as a bellwether for where the internet is going - AI Mode is increasingly default Google experience - AI Mode provides rich info and data in line, less incentive to leave search - AI Mose incentivizes dialog, Google wants to keep you engaged to serve more ads at each turn - Google will milk search for as much revenue as possible as they transition from a search company to a cloud service and chip company - As traffic from humans becomes more scarce this will put Google in an increasingly adversarial position to the rest of the internet - This is a massive headwind to all media type companies who are not destinations - This is a massive headwind to all content-driven go-to-market motions especially in the SMB. You have seen companies like HubSpot and Monday.com get crushed by this funnel collapse We are entering the end game - a knife fight for the remaining and dwindling volume of human traffic on the internet

“The traditional model of internet traffic is rapidly becoming outdated.”
Reddit's earnings call has exposed the new reality for thousands of companies. "AI mode does not drive traffic. Not for us and not to anybody as far as I know. It used to be a traffic driver. Now it's not." - Reddit CEO. The reality is that AI is fundamentally changing the way that humans access the internet. Just 24 hours prior to this statement, Google's stock erased -$480 billion on the same issue: AI is disrupting the traditional search model. For decades, the internet operated on a simple model. Search engines directed users to websites, and those websites monetized the traffic. AI is destroying this business model, and it's happening at an accelerating pace. The traditional model of internet traffic is rapidly becoming outdated. The internet has entered a new era.

I've long wanted to read a book on how Chinese spies are cultivated and trained. It'd probably make a good limited series, too.

Interesting to see Dartmouth’s #2 ousted for use of AI in penning a @wapo OpEd We are going to have to have some serious discussions about how to formalize a line between acceptable and not for an institution The data shows that MOST peer reviewed publications from academics now make use of AI Perhaps the extreme level of response (from being Provost to no longer employed) was bc of the irony that the WaPo article he wrote using AI is actually about the responsible use of AI on college campuses…. I don’t know. But I do know that the use of AI in writing is not going away. Not by professors and certainly not by students as they grow into professionals. Something to ponder anyway… nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/da…
