The front end of commerce is about to collapse.
Here's what I told 100 founders and operators at Stord Summit this week.
Amazon taught consumers to shop wherever itβs fastest, cheapest, and most trusted, and most people usually do. In the next phase, agents always do.
An agent never sees your ad or your storefront. It reads delivery speed, shipping cost, and return policy, then buys. Six of the eight things it weighs are decided by fulfillment.
So the checkout is where the game gets decided, and every brand has to ask whether its physical operation is ready to compete there. Commerce got smart in the easy places first, like the ad and the checkout, while the dock, the truck, and the last mile stayed behind.
In the age ahead, every brand grows in five ways, which we at Stord define as the Customer Value Equation:
Customer Value = Buyers Acquired Γ Retention Γ Frequency Γ (Revenue per Order β Cost per Order)
We influence all five variables in a big way. Cost per order is where weβve always had the most impact, and the other four are what make Stord a true commerce platform. Even if an agent skips your storefront, one vertically integrated system means Unbox still puts your next offer in the box.
Amazon spends more than $200 billion a year on fulfillment and delivery, and no brand can build that alone. Our scale, 1 in 4 U.S. households, arms 1,000+ brands together to hold a seat at the table in the next phase. Join a platform like Stord, or fall behind.
Before the year ends, trace one order from cart to doorstep and write down what it costs at every step. Then order from your own store the way an agent would, and rate the delivery date, shipping cost, returns, and tracking from 1 to 5.
Most brands find a number they donβt expect, and the lowest score shows exactly where growth is leaking.
Weβll share out the full keynote soon.

My favorite customer quote summed up in one image: "Amazon makes you feel like a SKU. Stord makes us feel like a brand. That's the gap, and Stord is exactly built to fill it."

I wonder how many people are minded to cancel their duo orders after the release of the rveiws overnight.

you watched the numbers go up for weeks. hereβs what they were.
kettei: a family of tunable, multimodal decision models for agents. show it text or a screenshot plus your agentβs options, get a probability for every option in one pass, in milliseconds.
strongest decision models we know of. two sizes open weights, as promised
Proud of the #sqwish team launching kettei, their new decision models. Cambridge talent delivering game-changing results. Worth the wait!

Today we closed a $400 million credit facility, led by Citi and joined by Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan, at nearly double what we went out seeking.
With the Series F, that's $650 million in capital and committed credit behind Stord this year alone.
Concurrently, Bill Zerella joins as CFO and Mark Wayland joins as CRO.

This was absolutely insane and why sport will continue to attract the biggest audiences.
The jeopardy that comes with human stories defines our lives on a daily basis. Massive congrats to both @ElfynEvans and @OliverSolberg01 for an amazing season. Looking forward to 2027.

To take the Championship fight to the final stage of the final rally in their first full WRC season is just incredible. And despite coming into Sardinia with a 21pt deficit, they nearly made the impossible possible - truly a champions' drive ππΌ and another WRC victory sealed!
The motivation to win and passion for rallying I see in @OliverSolberg01 is more than even I had, and it's so impressive and exciting! For sure there's some disappointment today, but don't worry, they'll cry that out and go again even stronger πͺπΌ
Huge congratulations to Elfyn & Scott, deserving World Champions after such an impressive few years π and thanks to the @TGR_WRC team for their support throughout an amazing year.

I have to admit even I was a little cynical of @realDonaldTrump climate agenda - but escalating the cost of oil was genius move.
It's always fun to do a catchup call with a personal investment to hear they have accidentally created a better version of Jev. Give me a shout if you want an early invite. /cc #sqwishlabs
