Watching Mrs. Doubtfire for the first time. "I was thinking of a 17th-century grand piano..." *eye starts twitching*

The "little death" is a Renaissance euphemism for orgasm (see Arcadelt's "Il bianco e dolce cigno" which every music history student encounters their first semester) and this is why the humanities are important, thank you for coming to my Ted talk
I don’t understand how people don’t co-sleep. I know folks that put their babies in other rooms at 4 or 5 months to provide them “structure” or routine. Sleep is not called the little death for nothing. You cross the rubicon of consciousness…in a tiny baby, one that has only known the smell and sound of his/her own mother, leaving that baby alone to traverse this frightening experience is inhumane. Co-sleep with your baby. It’s the way we are meant to sleep.

I, personally, look forward to public policy once again set by 2am tweetstorm, and living in constant fear that the president will start a nuclear exchange because he got offended by a world leader he knows only as "Mr. [country name]"

Watching people take 20 minutes to fill out a ballot--clearly reading initiatives for the first time--never fails to disabuse me of the notion that the US electorate as a whole is reasoned and well-informed

Slate has posted an article on The Youths using "chat", which means "chat" is now officially over, which means I can start using it. What do you think of that, chat?

Time for my annual tradition of sitting in my living room in the dark, pretending I'm not at home, and demolishing a family size bag of Reese's Minis

It blows my mind to see people talk about a "fertility crisis" when we are adding the equivalent of one United States to the global population approximately every five years right now

This is such a batshit take, imagine if we applied it to literally any other organization "Sir, two of our planes crashed inexplicably, killing 346 people!" "All flaws are weeded out in time"

The other students haven't figured out I'm gay and I've decided I'm going to wait until they ask me point blank then respond like this

So far I have: -Oaks gave a talk on being peacemakers, which TwitNats promptly ignored -Wilcox is as incapable of reading a room as ever -it's a long day for the choir (which, as a Catholic church musician who has that schedule every weekend: cry me a damn river!)
