Why isn’t anyone from the @PADemParty making a similar statement?
👏👏👏
Wisconsin's expected incoming Assembly speaker and Senate Democratic Caucus chair both said the state will legalize marijuana under the legislature's new Democratic majority.
“We know that legalization of marijuana is very popular in the state of Wisconsin, and we intend to listen to the voters of Wisconsin."

Agreed this is dumb move. We need clean cannabis deschedule bill on the President desk ASAP. To me this would get bipartisan support and align both industry to fair marketplace and quality assurance testing for all consumers products.

Nepal once had legal hashish shops. Then came prohibition.
Nearly 50 years later, its Supreme Court has ordered regulations for medical, scientific and industrial cannabis.
Adult use? Still an open question.
Camila Berriex explores the history for @HIGH_TIMES_Mag:

We should have equal accommodations within reasonable terms at all events for adults. Some of our products, like smoked or vapes, can give off a smell. This issue could be managed by sectioning the activity off from younger folks or those who hate the smell. 🔥💨

About time
Pennsylvania could become the 25th state to legalize adult-use cannabis in 2027 after Democrats say they flipped four seats in the Senate – and lost one – to take control of a government trifecta that’s keen on reform.

"Look back on a decade of implementing legalization in the Golden State, and you will see a mix of promises kept and dreams deferred. We did not build a legal weed utopia. But it’s naive to think California would have gotten this one policy right the first time.

We need new leadership in the Senate. We tried Schumer's way and got very little. We need new energy and skills for the path forward. Deschedule is the way forward.
After years of being promised votes on reform that never materialized when Chuck Schumer was Senate majority leader, if Democrats want to earn back the trust of the cannabis community, they need to swiftly pass legislation to deschedule cannabis, expunge federal marijuana convictions, approve cannabis banking, and more. No talk, just action. Put bills in the hands of President Trump. He may veto them, but he also has pushed rescheduling further than anyone else and endorsed recreational legalization in Florida. So maybe he won't.

In late Sept, @mpadvisorshares and I broke down in detail how shifts in political control in 4 key states (Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Iowa & Texas) would have major implications for cannabis reform in 2027.
Wild that it all happened. The scale of the blue wave was hard to predict, but its implications for cannabis reform were entirely foreseeable.

Breaking news!
Massachusetts voters resoundingly reject regression and overwhelmingly support the continuation of the progress set in motion in 2016.
Age checks, quality control, industry standards, no punitive measures… all remain in place thanks to the significant rejection of Question 8.

👀 Adult-use cannabis will remain legal in Massachusetts in one of the biggest landslide defeats of a citizen-initiated ballot measure in state history.

🎉 MAJOR MARIJUANA VICTORY: Massachusetts voters overwhelmingly rejected Question 8, the prohibitionist-funded ballot measure seeking to repeal the state's voter-approved legalization law.
"There's no 'buyer's remorse' among voters when it comes to legalizing and regulating marijuana," NORML's Deputy Director Paul Armentano said. "In fact, more Massachusetts voters support legalization today than did a decade ago, and these election results prove it."

It's early but currently as polling predicted it's 78.3% are voting No on Q8.

That was a thumping and it only cost them a few million.
Voters resoundingly sent Sabet & SAM packing. Not one police organization or union supported the yes campaign. While @Policeforreform & The National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers (NABLEO) also announced its endorsement for the No On 8 campaign, and a group of more than 50 current and former law enforcement officials separately signed an open letter opposing the anti-cannabis initiative.
This is a message to Sabet who funded a vanity campaign based on scare tactics and misinformation. Congrats to the Stop the Repeal campaign.
