My @rubyconf talk "Fake Your Test Away" is here! This 30-minute talk came from 2 years of thinking, experimenting and lots of learning on the subject of testing and software design. I hope it's useful. If not, I hope it's at least funny youtu.be/RMDX7u9MA9Y

I'm having fun at @RubyConfMini, but it's time to turn that into a function to produce 💰 with Jenny Shih.

Finally sitting down to look at the program for @RubyConfMini. Found myself keep skipping heartbeats...so looking forward to those talks & workshops! And it's next week!! 😱
Amidst the turmoil of putting my talk together for @RubyConfMini, this reminds me of what makes it all worthwhile. Thank you Marcell!!
After many browser tabs trying to understand how could people take good advantage of phoenix contexts for clean architecture, I finally found this amazing talk: youtube.com/watch?v=vr-qhHrN… thank you, @jenny_codes !

Hello friends, it's one of those "Penelope tweets on behalf of Ruby Central" fridays. And yes, it's about Texas. As a reminder: I am a transgender director at Ruby Central, the 501c3 that organises RailsConf and RubyConf Please read the whole thread. 1/

This Chrome plugin allows us to save valuable content & see what our friends are gleaning from the internet. Been using it for some days now. It's fascinating.
Curius.app has added so much value to my online reading. I have convinced 10+ friends to join it so far. Here’s a quick intro of how it works:

What a treat to hear the development stories of Elixir told by @josevalim himself. I rarely have the urge to take notes during podcasts but I did for this one. Thank you @ThinkingElixir for making this happen and looking forward to the rest of the series! #MyElixirStatus
Episode 82: @josevalim joins us to kick off part 1 of a 5 part series counting down to the 10 year anniversary of @ElixirLang! In Part 1, we cover the releases of 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. We discuss the significant changes in each release and more! #ElixirLang podcast.thinkingelixir.com/8…

This year I did the AoC challenge with @wnb_rb, which made it even more fun. Really enjoyed the discussions & sharings and admired a lot of beautiful solutions. I feel grateful 😊

2 years ago the start up I was at gave everyone 2 hours notice and closed their doors in Dec. Job hunting over the holidays is miserable. Let's start a Christmas job thread. List companies, hiring levels, if you can help get interviews, and when you will be able to. Please RT

TIL we can build a one-liner Ruby REPL! It's fun, but perhaps don't use it in production asciinema.org/a/JteNdKyk7GeY… Inspired by learnbyexample.github.io/lea…

The code: `while true; do ruby -ne 'BEGIN{ print "Welcome to an one-liner Ruby REPL session\n>> "}; print "=> #{(eval($_) rescue $!).inspect}\n>> "'; done` (The while loop that wraps the ruby cmd is to rescue and restart the REPL when syntax errors happen)
Surely you don’t want to miss a talk that has Shakespeare AND Ruby AND testing all in one place?
