There are legitimate concerns about El-Sayedโs candidacy and these are widely discussed. But for a sitting US senator to say heโs disqualified because heโs not a Christian is just disgraceful. By his logic, Jews, Hindus, & nonreligious ppl canโt serve their country either. ๐

There are smart ppl in different parts of the political spectrum; Rachelโs claim lacks merit. Critical thinking is about evaluating evidence and not taking claims at face value (itโs not even really tied to politics); there are plenty of centrists out there that do this.

I have no political expertise but I disagree with Sean Orrโs take that the BCNDP lost the election for being too centrist & not progressive/left enough. The Greens ran to the left of the NDP and- while increasing their tally- they won just 2 seats. #bcpoli
