I'm a thinker, not a fame seeker. I'm a progressive, or what is more, a radical humanist. I don't pay attention to titles, I pay attention to intellectual substance. And though I love theory, I recognize its abstract limits. Knowledge, as privilege, means social responsibility.

When science turns to philosophy for answers, something has gone wrong.

Probably the most disappointing intellectual experience I’ve had, wasn’t seeing the hypocrisy of Christianity, but the rational phoniness and authoritarianism of philosophy. This is because I didn’t expect philosophy, like religion, to be irrational and unconscious of itself.

The real destruction of the “public sphere” is the structuring of a society that makes it avoidable. This is because man will choose the private sphere over the public sphere where his beliefs can be exposed and refuted. His ego chooses the safe feelings of the private sphere.

The lie of epistemological subjectivity has led to a passivity that empowers tyranny. The individual is content to retreat into the apathy of his private sphere, where he feels no tension living in contradiction and ignorance, so long as his needs are met and he’s entertained.

Oh man, thou seest an eclipse, and another, and one star unto another, unto a galaxy, unto many stars. Eventually it all becomes the same, so where lies your transcendence? Not in religion, in science, this is true, but also not enough merely to master, thou must also create!

My advice to all intellectuals and thinkers is don’t try to sound “brilliant” or be “brilliant,” simply try to comprehend the truth, and then try to communicate what you comprehend in plain terms. Knowledge has an obligation to inform, not to perform.

Those who think they can appeal to philosophy as an authority that stands above religion, don’t know what they’re appealing to. Isomorphically theology and philosophy often have the same form. It is to reason and science that one must appeal. Philosophy is a regression of reason.

I don’t create truth, I don’t construct the rules of reason, I simply try to follow them so I can discover and comprehend truth.

It’s simple: we need to revive and expand the consciousness of care for the other. This is why society is apathetic and no longer responds with urgency to lives being crushed by cruelty, tyranny and disasters of circumstance.

Who knew there was an even more accurate psychology beneath Freud? Rather, it’s a matter of greater emphasis.

Men are content with their concepts of reason, they don’t need reason exposing the unreason of their reason!

Religion is either an ideology an ignorant man uses to comfort himself against reality, or it is a tool used by a wiser man to manipulate ignorant men.

Long ago Popper and Marcuse were like, “yeah, if you tolerate Fascism you’re stupid, because it will use that tolerance to destroy your freedom.”

Substantive reason is universally accessible in its mechanics, but universally resisted in its implications.

I love Reason, which is actually just Logic, but I do not love philosophy. Philosophy has morphed into a religious monstrosity of authoritarian abstraction and jargon.
90
The truth is, I have come to despise the authoritarianism of philosophy.

If there is such a thing as higher intelligence, how could intelligence bear not to have it?

Without the semantics of reason, we cannot stop the tyranny of ideology. This is because we have no way of getting behind ideology without reason. Thus tyranny is simply replicated through the vagueness of ideology— it is justified by its form.
