The New Founding podcast is run by the same people that own and run the @BaptistLeaders podcast. Friends, mark and avoid William Wolfe and his Center for leadership.
If you need a ladder on stage to drive your point home, then you need to learn to communicate. Use. Your. Words.
By popular demand, here’s the full #LadderGate2026 sermon illustration.
Week 7 of series through 2 Timothy, right after a few hundred people surrendered to Christ and are deciding whether to be obedient in baptism next week.
Would do this again a thousand times for those ppl (if I weren’t getting too old for stuff like this!)
Pragmatism is as pragmatism does.
I’ll say it again. If you need a super car or a two ladders on the stage to get your point across, then you can’t preach. If you can’t describe your illustration then you’re a sorry communicator.
William Wolfe is woke.
Historically, Christian Nationalism does this too, though, and these guys pushing it today inspire zero confidence it will be different with them. Hell, people in their orbit tell me every day that I'll be murdered by their regime when they take over.
What William is doing here is a dialectical tactic called an affordance. He's giving you two options, both of which are awful, and one of which is viscerally and obviously awful, so you'll be more inclined to the bad thing he'll help control.
Mark and avoid William Wolfe.
What is a woman?

I am to the point that I would warn Christians of listening to or following Webbon’s group, the Ogden group, or anyone who promotes them.
And I do so with the same energy I would have when I warn against false teachers.
😂😂
Oh my goodness. With one second left, the #Ravens just beat the Cowbums with a 56-yard field goal. Do you know what that means?
My favorite choir will sing their #1 hit song. 🤠

"Christians can sometimes overreact to modern disenchantment and fall into the opposite ditch of medieval superstition (one popular Christian podcast on the supernatural realm has speculated about the existence of fairies, incubi, mermaids, and even Bigfoot)."
Joel Webbon, Ben Garrett, and Brian Sauvé discuss how the Greek god Poseidon is real, that he is a fallen angel from Genesis 6, and that his son, Atlas the king of Atlantis, was one of the Nephilim. This is how they wedge pagan occultism into Christians' minds.
@WadeMiller
I’m sitting in a “first” Baptist church in a town in Arkansas, population 350, with 40 folks listening to one of the county judges preach the Gospel on a Thursday night.
This is peak Baptist life. Gimme this every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Excellent post by Dr. Walker.
Of course, there will be pushback from guys who think that the answer is to partner with pornographers and wannabe warlord shampoo salesmen while feeding the white nationalist anon cowards internet meme slop.
Michael Scott thought he could declare bankruptcy by yelling it across the office.
A lot of the Christian nationalism conversation works the same way: Say it loud enough, post about it often enough, and surely it becomes real.
It doesn't.
I explain why the Christian nationalism conversation has run its course in my latest @WNGdotorg column.
