Hey @elonmusk
I know Blaney.
The Binance hacker might have just pulled off one of the smartest moves I’ve seen in crypto.
First, Tether froze $1.5 billion in USDT.
Then Circle froze another $800 million in USDC.
At that point, it looked like the hacker’s money was trapped.
But apparently, he had already planned for that.
Instead of holding the stolen USDT in a wallet, he allegedly deposited it into Aave and used it as collateral to borrow ETH.
Then he walked away.
That’s where the story gets crazy.
Tether can freeze the USDT sitting in the wallet.
But it can’t freeze the ETH he already borrowed.
So now Aave is left holding frozen collateral, while the hacker is sitting on liquid ETH.
And unless the protocol can recover it somehow, he may not even need to pay the loan back.
Two companies froze billions of dollars in seconds.
But someone who understood how to use DeFi may have found a way around both of them.
Pretty insane when you think about it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The described Aave deposit used only ~60M USDT as collateral to borrow 19,762 WETH before freezes hit the main wallet, not the bulk of funds; Aave states the overcollateralized position is subject to normal liquidation with no material protocol risk.

One of our MCAT holders wasn’t receiving their wXMR rewards.
We reached out to StonkFun support. Super fast response. Figured out the issue.
If you’re using Phantom, there are two things to check.
First, open your token list and enable wXMR. It may be hidden under spam.
Second, selling all your wXMR after receiving them can close the token account. According to support that can prevent further rewards from reaching your wallet.
You’re still eligible for rewards by holding MCAT. The token account needs to be active.
Solution:
Buy a tiny amount of wXMR even $0.01 to reopen it.
Token address:

Our member followed the instructions.
Then roughly $50 in wXMR rewards came through.
The rewards had been waiting for the token account to become active again.
Sharing this because someone else might be holding MCAT, checking Phantom and wondering where their rewards are.
Appreciate the @LaunchOnSF team for helping us resolve it quickly. They also said documentation is coming soon explaining all of this.

People think “a memecoin rewarding holders in Monero? Must be a scam.”
Meanwhile they’re bullish on privacy becoming one of the biggest narratives.
So why is it hard to understand that a new generation might discover privacy through a cat?
They might find the meme first.
Then learn about Monero. Then understand why privacy matters.
I used to call memecoins scams too. Until I actually spent time in the market and challenged my own assumptions.
AI. Privacy. Projects generating revenue alongside what they’re building.
That’s where I see opportunity.
Research before you dismiss. Manage your risk. Take profits.
And learn to adapt when the market moves.

If your memecoin is based off a "viral" trend it's going to die a quick and painful death as it should and your money will disappear

solana:DAemPFNc3RtibBDKkUA4eL2Ns11q9VRdbpptmqm8DGqN was launched by people who have since exited. VIK the dev of cake wallet stayed involved and still receives 100% of the trading fees, despite it never being his project to begin with.
What started as using those fees to support Monero development has evolved into putting the majority back into the community through buybacks. He’s also been adding his supply to the liquidity pool instead of burning it, building deeper liquidity.
I can’t speak for VIK but my view is that he’s doing his part. The community needs to step up and help push this forward together.
I’m not on the team just a community investor supporting and believing. I want to show the timeline that there are people on Solana willing to build alongside an honest public figure rather than use him as exit liquidity.
Holders receive monero:native rewards funded by the 3% buy and sell fees, so rewards depend on trading activity. Vik from Cake Wallet is also a holder.
Suppo has also bought MCAT and started talking about it in his videos bringing fresh attention to the project.
We’re building MCAT Academy to help newcomers understand wallets, security and the risks of this space. We’re also developing a networking lounge where builders, freelancers and entrepreneurs can connect and find opportunities.
The goal is to give people reasons to discover MCAT, contribute and stick around.

AI doesn’t get lazy. It follows instructions. If you use it to avoid thinking, you’ll produce lazy work faster. If you bring ideas, judgment and effort, you can build more than you could alone. The ambition still has to come from you.
