What the world calls wisdom often leads us to chase status, comfort, control, and self-glory. But the wisdom of God leads us to Christ. In Him, we receive what we could never produce on our own: righteousness, sanctification, redemption, and true wisdom. So we do not boast in strength, success, intelligence, or achievement. We boast in the Lord. “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” — 1 Corinthians 1:31

Overcome Evil With Good Paul's letter to the Romans reminds us that vengeance belongs to the Lord. We are not called to repay evil with evil, but to trust God’s justice and respond with grace. Being vengeful is the opposite of forgiveness. No lawless deed will go unpunished, but bitterness does not have to rule our hearts. When we repay evil with good, we leave judgment in God’s hands and allow His grace to work through us. Hearts are often won when the grace of God is lived out in front of them. And even when evil does not change, we can rest knowing God sees, God knows, and God will judge rightly. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21 His Kingdom Coaching and Counseling Schedule through the client portal to discover your role in God's story! justin-walker.clientsecure.m…

You can slay the dragon of anxiety in your life through the power of a good testimony. “And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, ‘Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.’ Revelation 12:10-11

Romans 5:12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Sin and death entered the world through one man's disobedience, infecting everyone like a virus. But God is just and provided an antidote: the forgiveness brought through one man, Jesus Christ. The law diagnosed the sickness of sin, showing us the need for a cure. Even our best efforts in relationships fall short because we are all sick with sin. When a relationship is damaged, confession and forgiveness are essential, but the deeper venom of sin remains. Healing beyond our power is needed, especially when the tongue, which James 3:8 describes as "unruly evil, full of deadly poison," has wounded someone. The blood of Jesus carries the antidote that cleanses us from all unrighteousness, healing the disease of sin in us and in our relationships. Respond Lord, I ask for the forgiveness of sins. I ask that by your power and grace that the wounds in my relationships be healed. Help me to discern when to confess and when to forgive. Bring all things into remembrance and lead me to prayer.

Nobody gets away with anything, ever. I verbalize mercy and grace in pastoral prayer nearly every time. I seldom sit and ponder the depth of them. “in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.” -Romans 2:16

A Kingdom athlete must not only train the body for competition, the mind and the spirit must be prepared for battle. We are created in Image of a triune God. We are mind, body, and spirit. We are commanded to both love the Lord with all of our heart, mind and strength and also to do all things as if we are doing them for Him. What are you doing to train your mind and spirit for competition?

Luke 14:34 Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile, it is thrown out. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear. Salt has an impact on everything it touches. As a follower of Jesus, we should have an impact on every person or group of people we interact with. Salt also blesses AND irritates. The change won’t always be welcome. It is interesting that Jesus says that once it loses its saltines it is not fit for the soil or the manure pile. (NIV).

Colossians 3:23 (ESV): “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” “Whatever you do” = school, sports, chores, friendships, group chats, church. “Work heartily” = do it with your whole heart, not half-effort. “For the Lord” = Jesus is the real One we’re trying to please. “Not for men” = not just for applause, attention, or fitting in.

Acts 10:45-46 And those of the circumcision were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Peter answered the call of the Lord, that he received in a vision, to go to Cornelius and the Gentiles and share the Word of God. When he gave witness of the works and resurrection of the Lord, God poured out His Spirit on the Gentiles also. This verse stuck out to me where it said that they magnified the Lord. Glorifying God is about making Him known and visible. Think of a magnifying glass. The websters dictionary defines magnify as making something appear larger than it is. In the biblical sense, it must mean to make God appear more like He is. He is infinite in every aspect of His being. We can’t properly imagine how big He is. Even the word “big” puts a limitation on Him in a way. Magnifying Him in our lives and helping others to do the same is what we are called to do. We are making the perception of God more like HE actually is.

Lord of the heavens and the Earth, the world is full of your glory, and your eternal attributes are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made. Give me the passion and the means to seek out the places where Your Spirit is near and Your voice is clear. You are worthy that the stars sing to you and the creatures of the earth give praise. You alone are Holy, there is no one like You!
