John Cerny IV

To my seniors: Thank you for letting me be part of your football journey. I’ve shared a lot of Friday nights, long practices, and memories with you, and I’ll always be grateful for that. This season didn’t go exactly how we hoped, but it doesn’t change what you mean to me or the place you’ll always have in this program. I’m proud of you, and I’ll be cheering for you in whatever comes next. #AGFootball #OnceAColonialAlwaysAColonial

Proud to announce our 2026 Team Captains: @john_cerny4 @BronxJamison05 @Romansmith2027 These three were chosen by their teammates because they’ve earned the respect of the guys in our locker room through the way they work, compete, and carry themselves. Proud of all three of them and excited to watch them lead this group. #LetEmKnow #AGFootball #Brotherhood

Wrapped up our final two-a-day of camp tonight under the lights. This week has been a grind, and that is exactly what it was supposed to be. We have dealt with tired legs, sore bodies, mistakes, frustration, adversity, and all the things that come with pushing yourself when you are already exhausted. I have been proud of the way our guys have continued to respond. Nobody is going to care how tired we are on Friday nights. Nobody is going to feel sorry for us when things do not go our way. We have to learn how to keep playing, keep competing, and keep doing our job when things get hard. That is what these days are for. Still plenty of work in front of us, but I like the direction this group is heading. Proud of these guys. #LetEmKnow #AGFootball #Brotherhood

Pretty awesome surprise today. A group of our guys showed up at the house with a cake and completely caught me off guard. I give these kids a hard time, demand a lot out of them, and probably drive them crazy more than they’d like to admit, but I care about them like they’re my own. Moments like this are a pretty good reminder that coaching is about a whole lot more than wins, losses, schemes, or football. These relationships are what make it worth it. Really appreciate these guys for thinking of me and making my birthday a special one. “Papa Dindl” has a ring to it. 😂 #LetEmKnow #AGFootball

A great way to wrap up Heat Camp. Our guys put in a lot of work this week. Long days, tired legs, sore bodies, and plenty of opportunities to find out who was willing to keep pushing when things got uncomfortable. Today at Marilla Park was about something just as important: being together. Football teams aren't built only during practice. They're built through shared experiences, laughter, conversations, and learning to genuinely enjoy the people standing beside you. That connection matters when the season gets tough. Proud of this group and the way they continue to strengthen the brotherhood. Heat Camp ✅ Next up: FOOTBALL CAMP. #LetEmKnow #AGFootball #Brotherhood – at Morgantown, WV

Proud of our guys today. After practice, our entire team stayed together for Bible study with Coach Stan. Football gives us an opportunity to build something bigger than wins and losses. We want to develop strong young men who understand faith, character, accountability, and what it means to serve something bigger than themselves. Thank you to Coach Stan for investing his time and pouring into our players. Building better football players. Building better men. #LetEmKnow #AGfootball

Getting stronger is only part of developing better football players. Speed has been a major focus of our offseason program as well. Congrats to the following players that made the 18, 19, and 20 MPH club! ⚡ 20 MPH CLUB @bswayy2011 @Tremaynespill @b_panos12 @BronxJamison05 Tripp Handlin ⚡ 19 MPH CLUB Colton Hower @john_cerny4 ⚡ 18 MPH CLUB @gioguerriere Colton Harvey Brennon Lennox @LeviLincoln50 @Romansmith2027 @Claytonbol95404 Eli Fisher Ethan Shaffer Jacob Cunningham Simeon Turner #AGFootball #LetEmKnow #ColonialStrong

Two of the best to ever do it, Coach Wheaton and @CoachKChism, spent the past two days with us fine tuning our Flexbone offense. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to teach the smallest parts of the game gave our players and staff an incredible opportunity to grow. I could not be prouder of how our players attacked both days. They were focused, coachable, and eager to improve. They embraced every correction, competed through every rep, and took full advantage of the opportunity in front of them. We are incredibly grateful for the relationship we have built with Coach Wheaton and Coach Chism. Their willingness to return each year and continue investing in our players, coaches, and program means more to us than they know. #LetEmKnow #WeRunTheFlexbone

Proud of these guys for volunteering their time today, after a hot strength and conditioning period, to help with students participating in our Extended School Year program. This is what being part of our football program is supposed to look like. Show up, serve others, be a positive example, and represent Albert Gallatin the right way. Football is bigger than what happens on Friday nights. Proud of these young men for giving back. #AGFootball #WeGuysNotMeGuys

Nothing like a Friday night in York Run Stadium. 70 days. #AGFootball #LetEmKnow #WeRuntheFlexbone
