Interesting watching Wispr Flow and Granola unashamedly offering each other's product as a feature. Who wins that battle?

This is the key stat. The average Fortune 500 customer of Anthropic spends less than .1% of their expenses on Anthropic. While that number likely will eventually asymptote somewhere (token prices coming down, and other large enterprise spend areas not going away), there’s no reason it can’t be 10-50X higher than this, reaching a “mere” 1-5% of spend. Which would still be a fraction of what most startups are spending. Thus, you can see how big of a divide there is between the frontier users of AI and the rest of the world still. Today, only a microscopically small set of companies are actually using agents for large amounts of background tasks and inside of workflows that aren’t human prompted. This Fortune 500 spend is likely dominated by coding tasks and broad employee productivity use-cases. But the big jump will come as these enterprises start to rewire their underlying processes for agents, which we’re now in the earliest stages of seeing. Agents processing large amounts of data in the enterprises; swarms doing coding, bio research, cyber, and other large fan out tasks; background workflows executing tasks in processes, and so on. All of these use cases generally are 100X bigger consumers of tokens, and much closer to direct ROI on the spend. This S-1 gives you a sense of both the strength of the frontier lab business model - even amidst massive competition - and how early we are in the build out of AI.
More than half of the Fortune 500 already qualifies as a significant customer, but Anthropic’s revenue from those companies averages less than 0.1% of their expenses. Its ten largest Fortune 500 customers spend more than eight times the broader cohort average while still spending less than 1% of expenses.

The first autonomous agent cyberattack is an unprecedented event that deserves unprecedented transparency. Today we’re sharing everything we can: a full technical timeline, an interactive replay, and how we used an open model to defend ourselves, so defenders everywhere can learn from it and prepare for what’s next. huggingface.co/blog/agent-in…

While China drops Kimi K3 (2.8T params, 1M context, open weights, outpacing Fable 5 in agentic coding) Albo announces... Australia's first "Office of AI". One country ships frontier models at lightspeed. The other creates a high paid committee in Canberra. AI innovation moves in days. Bureaucracy moves in electoral cycles. This is another taxpayer-funded speed bump. Australia needs builders, not more desks in Canberra.
Introducing Kimi K3: Open Frontier Intelligence 🔹 2.8 Trillion Parameters, 1 Million Context, Native Multimodal 🔹 Kimi Delta Attention enables up to 6.3x faster decoding in million-token contexts 🔹 Attention Residuals deliver ~25% higher training efficiency at <2% additional cost 🔹 Built for long-horizon agentic coding and self-evolving workflows Kimi K3 is now live on on Kimi.com, Kimi Work, Kimi Code, and the Kimi API. Open Weights by July 27, 2026. 🔗 API: platform.kimi.ai 🔗 Tech blog: kimi.com/blog/kimi-k3

When Advent gets in the mix, the game gets serious: * Deal negotiation * Ruthless restructuring * Cashflow focus, with 3-5-year payout horizon IMO if Str-Advent brings premium to 50%+, they can get it and in 4 years Stripe owns the whole thing for a $1t IPO.

Being the underdog makes you good at engineering your own luck. When you don’t have the right school, fund, or network, you learn pretty fast that no one is coming to save you.

Thank goodness. We can also start doing work again soon.
We’ve received notice that the Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5. We'll begin restoring access tomorrow, and will share an update soon. We’re grateful to our users for their patience, and to everyone who worked with us on redeploying the models.

The hardest part of sales is creating urgency The rest is hard too, don't get me wrong But really, 95 times out of 100, no one really needs to buy your product right now. Especially if it involves business process change.

We’ve raised $320M at an $11B valuation, led by Addition. AI is changing how companies are built. Teams are smaller, global from day one, and using agents more. We’ve spent 10 years building the financial rails for that world. We’re now building the intelligent layer on top.

In 2021, 18 public software companies had net revenue retention over 130%. Today: 2. Palantir and Figma. NDR is the metric that matters now imho. Real expansion from customers you already have, not price hikes. And almost nobody can show it. (Chart via @cjgustafson)

Eleven companies just agreed a standard for how AI agents find each other. Anthropic and OpenAI weren't among them. The fight quietly moved from how agents call tools to who they're allowed to discover, and that's the layer actually worth owning. developers.googleblog.com/an…

Most of the last decade in AI has been about learning from us, models trained on the vast record of what people have already written and made. The next frontier is experience. Models that learn by acting, seeing what happens, and adjusting. We already know how powerful that can be, because we saw it in games. The leaps with Go, Dota 2 and StarCraft didn't come from feeding models more human games. They came from self-play: agents competing and cooperating against ever-stronger versions of themselves, generating an escalating curriculum. The opponent was the teacher, and the opponent kept getting harder. That's what @odysseyml is building for the real world, and why we've backed their $310M Series B. A learned world model that is itself a multi-agent arena, where thousands of agents compete and cooperate inside a simulation rich enough to develop real physics, causality and human behaviour. It takes the self-play engine that worked so well in games and points it at reality. @olivercameron and @jeffrey_hawke come from self-driving, an industry that learned the hard way how slow and costly real-world experience is to rely on alone. Hard to imagine a team better prepared for this.
We’ve raised a $310M Series B to accelerate world models! We believe AI that can understand and simulate the world will be one of the most important technologies of our time. We're excited to partner with Natural Capital, Amazon, GV, AMD, IQT, and others to bring this to life.
