The most important thing about this amazing Paris transformation is how fast it happened —how fast people on bikes “appeared” —once streets were transformed. You can’t write this off as “#Paris was always this way,” because it wasn’t. It took leadership.

You just want to kill more children, cause greater health issues and clog up our roads. That’s nothing positive.

Thanks for letting us know that your transport priorities are cars, cars and more cars, and that you don't give a solitary shit about vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians. Yay, more congestion, pollution and road danger, that's the Tory way!

"Yes outside nurseries and schools" DO YOU THINK THE CHILDREN OUTSIDE SCHOOLS ONLY EXIST THERE? IF YOU KNOW DRIVERS NEED TO TRAVEL AT 20 OUTSIDE THE PLACES WHERE YOU CAN SEE KIDS MOST EASILY, YOU KNOW WHY YOU NEED TO TRAVEL AT 20 IN ANY PLACE THEY MAY BE WALKING TO/FROM SCHOOL!

I've #justdonated to Richard Slade’s Crowdfunding Page on @JustGiving. Here's the link if you'd like to help him raise more. It's inspiring stuff! justgiving.com/crowdfunding/…

🚨 In 2024, drivers in the U.K killed ~400 pedestrians & cyclists. 🚨 Less than half of killer drivers are charged. 🚨 Around half of convicted killer drivers aren’t sent to prison & just 1% receive life bans. When will drivers start facing “the full force of the law”, Iain?
At long last we have a law for dangerous cyclists and e-bikes. Those who cycle or ride e-bikes recklessly causing fatal accidents to pedestrians or road users can now feel the full force of the law. Matt Briggs and others who have campaigned for justice should be congratulated for their perseverance. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04…

20 mph limits have been proven to reduce injuries and save lives. Why do you want to make our roads more dangerous? Do you really want more people to die in a car accident?

Car use contributes to: air pollution, climate change, noise pollution, traffic congestion, road deaths & injuries, obesity, heart disease, urban sprawl, loss of green space, microplastic tyre dust, and poor mental health. But yeah, what we need is you campaigning for motorists.

Over 10000 cyclists in under 8 hours. Tell me again why London is not a cycling city? Note the casual cycling attire, with not a stitch of Lycra in sight; this will blow the minds of the stereotype hustlers. Build more cycle lanes @MayorofLondon
TfL have restarted @CS3Count on the Embankment cycle lane again, now with an updated display) similar to the CS6 one.

The evidence of 20mph / 30kph making cities safer and having no impact on congestion or travel times goes far beyond just London:
A Eurocities survey of 38 European cities in 19 countries shows widespread safety gains from 30 km/h zones with no impact on congestion or travel times. Read more:  zagdaily.com/micromobility/s…

Before Lime Bikes, on strike days, people would queue for a bus to take them 2 miles. Bike hire schemes change everything if you want to move around a city quickly.
Cycle hire in London jumps to 14% as commuters swap to two wheels during Tube strikes trib.al/nShFUDN

DR BIKE - HEALTH CHECKS Great job Dr Bike, and thanks to @cambscc Active Travel Team for organising these free bicycle health checks. I did wonder why sparks were flying when I pulled on my brakes!

If you’re wondering why your local high street is dying, have you considered the possibility that car dominance, poor public transport links, a lack of cycle lanes, and the absence of high quality street cleaning and green infrastructure are amongst the chief reasons?

⁦@AldiUK⁩, please can you review cycling parking provision at your Huntingdon store? Only 3 Sheffield stands and much of that space is used for storing supermarket trolleys! Not all customers arrive by car.
