we've been doing weekly webinars with @9ranty to show practical use cases of @TellaHQ Agent, Tella Motion, and Auto Capture that we shipped yesterday
here's a few we've done:
- Tella Agent AMA
- Edit a video from start to finish with Tella Agent
- THIS WEEK: Tella Motion Deep Dive

Funding rounds aren't milestones. It shouldn't be your goal to raise a series A. It should be your goal not to need to.
The biggest update to Tella ever
Tella Agent, Tella Notion and Auto Capture
no more waiting 2+ weeks for someone to setup an agent to record help docs vids for you
just copy the prompt below into Claude or ChatGPT to do this using @TellaHQ MCP:
“Audit the help docs at [your help center url] and list the articles that don't have an embedded video. Start with the most read one and work your way down the list of pages, then use Tella Auto Capture to record a video that follows the article's written steps on [your app url], signed in with the "Demo account" credential. When it's delivered, check the video matches the article step by step and tell me anywhere it doesn't. Then put it in a new Tella video named after the article and add it to the Help Docs playlist in Tella.”
we have 260+ help articles at @TellaHQ. only 76 had a video, and almost half of those were out of date
a week later, 136 have a video and all are current
96 were recorded by an agent. and they'll keep updating every time we ship to prod.
how??? 👇
someone pinch me
i never thought i’d see a day where i could keep help docs (both written and videos) consistently updated at near real time given the velocity we’ve been shipping at
now i can. 🥰

loom still doesn’t have a download all button. wrote up how to actually get all your videos out.
if you’re leaving, we can sometimes credit leftover loom time toward @TellaHQ - reach out!
the fact that the @TellaHQ Agent can LISTEN to your audio and make decisions is mind boggling to me.
makes removing mistakes, filler words (umms, uhs) even more accurate 10/10 recommend
i’ve been dogfooding this new feature called Auto Capture that we’ve been working on @TellaHQ that lets you have an agent record for you.
what’s a use case for this? help docs! we ship so fast and often at Tella that it’s hard for us to keep our help doc videos updated with the way the product works and looks.
here’s two ways i’ve been using it:
1. an audit - i have Auto Capture read the written instructions on our help docs and record a video based on those instructions. why is this good? it helps audit our written docs and record videos accompanying them in one go. two birds one stone.
2. automation - whenever a new PR merges, i have a doc sync automation via our @opensessionos and i added to the prompt to use Auto Capture to record a video if changes have been made that affects the UI - or if it’s brand new.
after Auto Capture records those videos, i use a workspace skill that @9ranty created in Tella Agent to apply a consistent look and feel to the videos.
the future is here.
sfo is the best + fastest airport. for a 5:15a boarding, 6a departure
4:40a leave in uber from home
5:04a arrive at sfo
5:09a through tsa
5:17a coffee
5:21a at the gate
5:31a boarded
interesting way to board a @SFMTA_Muni LRV 🤔 with the stairs up 😃
that’s a first

SF might have the most transportation options of any city in the US:
rideshare / robotaxis: uber, lyft, waymo, zoox, nuro
public transit: BART, metro, buses, cable cars, caltrain
on the water: SF bay ferry, golden gate ferry, water taxis
bikes / scooters: lime, spin, bay wheels
walking (if you're willing to climb a hill)
record help doc videos automatically? never update them by hand again? count me in 🙋♂️
we’ve made recording videos pretty damn easy at @TellaHQ. but that’s not the problem anymore.
i own our help docs, and there’s no way i can keep the videos current at the speed our team ships. UI changes and new features go out daily - no, hourly.
so we’re building a new way to record: with agents.
one use case: an agent reads the written steps in a help doc, follows them in the product, and turns that into a video.
that gets us two things:
1. a video walkthrough for everyone reading our docs
2. an audit of the written docs. if an agent can’t follow the steps, a human probably can’t either
would you use this?
