New secondary teachers learned about some of the instructional goals in the district with our New Teacher PD! This session focused on Strategic Teaching and Classroom Management! By equipping Ts with research-based strategies, we can #empowerALLstudents
We had a great district professional development day to kick off the year! So grateful to our teachers, administrators, and community partners for sharing their passions, insights, and strategies to all secondary teachers today!
Thanks @BlakeBusbin for visiting in-service centers across the state to help teachers dig into the new social studies standards. Also thankful to our awesome Madison City Teachers for taking time out of their summer to grow and learn!
Fantastic last professional learning at @DMSPanthers1 today led by a great team at DMS! Ts shared successful strategies from their classroom that aligned to the PD focus for the year using the fish bowl strategy! These teachers are so amazing and creative!
Diving into the new Social Studies standards with @BlakeBusbin! Great seeing the K-12 overview and intentionality behind the new standards that will support Ss as knowledgeable and responsible citizens!
Health Science CTE Teachers from each secondary school dove into their new standards today! The whole day was planned and facilitated by Tammy Brooks, who is shared between @DMSPanthers1 and @journeyjaguars! What a great day of learning and collaboration!
Got my signed copy from @effortfuleduktr today! Excited to dive into this book to learn more about learning! Very cool for our local bookstore, Blue Apple Books, to support and promote Mr. Harvard and his new book!
So much excitement and fun in Ms. Veizer’s 7th grade math class at @LIONSLMS! Squid games inspired activity to introduce conditional probability!

Spring District PD today for all secondary new teachers! Our learning focused on Quality Questioning and Differentiation. Very appreciative to our district behavior specialists, federal programs specialist @JaneWHerndon, and admin sharing their expertise!
Awesome embedded professional development today at @BobJonesHigh and @journeyjaguars! Exciting to see the new Bob Jones IP, Mrs. Staples, jump right in by leading her first training and making connections with the faculty!
To continue celebrating #CSEdWeek, industry professionals in CS came to @BobJonesHigh to speak to students in CS classes about their experiences! We are so fortunate to have such great community partners investing in our students!
