"Imagine losing everything you've built because an automated system made a mistake."
This is happening on a lot of platforms including youtube, facebook, and now the Apple App store.
Sad news for creators. 💔
People left their 9–5 jobs and took risks to chase their dreams of becoming content creators😭. They spent countless hours creating content and building communities to turn their passion into something meaningful.
And now? AI is taking over platforms and creators are watching their accounts get suspended or permanently terminated without proper human review. Years of hard work can disappear overnight with little to no explanation and no real support.
The saddest part? For some people content creation isn't just a hobby anymore. It's their full-time job and their only source of income after leaving their 9–5 jobs to pursue their dreams.
Imagine losing everything you've built because an automated system made a mistake. Then when you desperately seek help all you receive are repetitive responses. No proper answers. No real support. Just another automated reply.
AI is supposed to make our lives easier and not make it impossible for innocent creators to protect their hard work.
Maybe it's time we start looking for a better platform. One that values its creators and offers real human support. One that understands that behind every account is a real person with real dreams and responsibilities.
Creators deserve better. We deserve transparency and accountability and a fair chance to be heard.
Company with some of the most deceptive marketing practices in the AI space sent a C&D for using their mark in marketing...
I joined the apple developer program. Created a peptide tracker (I know I just wanted to ship something easy) and I think I was one of the first to get hit with the new guidelines. A few weeks later all the peptide apps are banned.
Peptides aside, they seem to be hitting all kinds of accounts for trivial things. Which is a shame, especially to these aged accounts that have been shipping for years. I understand trying to reduce vibe coded garbage, but they aren't giving these long term developers a chance to correct things.
My theory is that they added an AI moderator to combat the fact that so many vibe coded apps are coming in. They didn't get the tuning right and it's way too aggressive. I've seen this same thing happen with facebook over and over on monetized pages, posts, and accounts.
App store is dead? Who is selling aged app store accounts now?
$114K in revenue. Apple is deleting my account for "fraud".
Over a tiny update I tried to ship 6+ months ago.
8+ rejections. 1 call with App Review. 1 full app rename.
Still rejected. Now my app is off the store, and my whole account is next.
Here's the full story:
The update added one new library. That's it.
Rejected: change keywords that had been there for over a year. mm okay.
Rejected: change a subtitle in some random localization. if it helps..
Rejected: screenshots.
Rejected: the same stuff, all over again.
Rejected: rename the entire app.
That one hurt. Most of my traffic comes from people searching that exact name.
So I asked for a call. Surely we could clear this up live.
The reviewer was genuinely great. He said the name was the last thing, everything else looked good.
So I renamed the whole app, submitted, went to sleep.
3 days later. Woke up to a generic rejection. Subtitle, screenshots, the full combo. Again.
So I asked myself: do I REALLY need this update?
I didn't. I dropped it and moved on.
Today, in that same old thread: "Pending Termination Notice. Evidence of Dishonest or Fraudulent Activity."
My appeal is with the App Review Board.
If it fails, this is what termination means:
Every app I've built, gone.
Every user, gone.
And I can never open a new developer account. Ever.
All over one library update I never shipped.
How do we solve a miscommunication like this?
I like Ezoic's take on AI content related to ads:
“The internet is filled with low-quality content, both human-written and AI-generated. We believe the industry should judge content by its quality and usefulness, rather than treating how it was produced as a substitute for that assessment”

The writing is on the wall for publishers.
According to Chartbeat, social media now drives more publisher traffic than search (18% vs. 12%).
Publishers need to stop relying so heavily on Google and start investing in social platforms like Facebook.
The traffic landscape is changing. Adapt or get left behind.

Facebook Page owners are reporting sudden losses of millions of followers, with audiences appearing to move to other Pages through unauthorized merges.
Reported cases include roughly 3.7 million followers gone in 48 hours, 6.1 million in a week, and 1.4 million in three days. Owners say they never approved a merge, have 2FA on, and see no obvious admin compromise.
Meta has not publicly confirmed a bug or exploit; some affected users say support is aware and has restored followers in at least one case.
If your Page starts dropping followers in large batches, document everything and contact Meta.
