The guy who broke BC's economy is now breaking the law in a sneaky and cynical attack on democracy.
He's forcing an election two years ahead of the legislated date purely to exploit a pending leadership change in the main opposition party. It's the most breathtakingly cynical move I have ever seen in Canadian politics.

David Eby's snap and self-serving BC provincial election call for October 24 evokes memories of Justin Trudeau's similarly cynical 2021 federal vote which cost Canada's taxpayers more tha $600 million and left occupancy of Ottawa government benches essentially unchanged.
Eby, stirring the Donald Trump fear pot and spending millions of public dollars chasing increased job security should persuade every voter in British Columbia to question whether October 24 is nothing more than a political hustle.
