Samsung has been the world's best-selling TV brand for roughly two decades. It sells everything from sub-$300 budget screens to $10,000+ flagship sets, and walking into a store to buy one has become one of the most confusing purchases in consumer tech. Most people shop with two filters: screen size and price. That's it. They find the biggest TV they can afford, carry it home, and hope for the best. That is exactly how people end up with a 75-inch TV that looks worse than a 55-inch one sitting two shelves down at the same price. Bigger screen, grayer blacks, washed-out colors, a picture that looks flat in a dark room and unwatchable in a bright one. And by the time they notice, the box is in the garage and the return window is closed. A former big-box electronics salesperson who sold more than 2,000 TVs told me something I've never forgotten: "Customers compared inches and price tags. The ones who asked about panel type, dimming zones, and which HDMI ports actually worked at 120Hz almost never came back to return it. The ones who bought on size alone were back within a month, and half of them were angry at the wrong thing.
