IT'S ONE THING TO MAKE MONEY.
IT'S ANOTHER THING TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NEVER POOR AGAIN.
THE MOMENT YOUR INCOME STARTS RISING, DO THESE IMMEDIATELY
We need to talk about loan sharks, because most of our lenders are predators.
I am currently working with a client that was charged 1.5% interest compounded daily.
You see 1.5% daily and think it is cheap, but it is effectively about 56% interest per month.
If you borrow ₦100k, at the end of the month you must pay back ₦156k.
If you annualize it, the interest becomes 22,800%. So if you borrow ₦100k, and default, after one year it becomes ₦22.9m.
The government needs to step in and stop this madness.
As someone who works with loans and recoveries, I find that Nigerians are one of the most difficult people to give loans to.
Aside from the ones that have genuine issues like;
Health issues
Loss of Job
Poor Business
Those who didn't collect it themselves(probably the phone was stolen)
And Death
The vast majority are lackadaisical when it comes to paying back..some see it as national cake , other just take the loan to spend on frivolities.
Coupled with the state of the country a lot of Nigerians are wallowing in debt.
I opened my yahoo account in 1999.
Gmail didn't even exist at that time.
Till date I do not have storage problems with my yahoo account.
But my Gmail? I am at 96%.
Every day, I keep deleting and emptying emails.
It's tiring 😫
What is the property worth now? You can't judge an investment by it's dividend alone.
Someyears ago, I missed buying this rental property for ₦40,000,000. The property was in Alimosho, Lagos.
Four block of 3 bedroom flats on a one plot and half land.
The eventual buyer modified the flats to five 2 bedrooms and 2 mini flats. I gathered he spent about ₦10, 000, 000 for the modifications and other miscellaneous.
The first set of tenants were welcomed in June 2023. Their rent were as follows.
1. 2 bedroom: 800k/year
2. Mini flat: 500k/year
Total (2023-2025): 800K×5+ 500K×2 = "₦6, 000,000.
He collected this rent for 2 years. Then in June 2025, he increased the rent to ₦ 1.2 million and ₦800,000, respectively.
Total rent collected (2025-2026): ₦7.6 million.
Is it a good investment for the lucky buyer or something else would have given him or me a better ROI?
A 3-year-old boy went to play football. He left with the whole world talking about him.
Nevada Pierre was playing against older children in Florida when a dispute broke out at a youth football match.
His parents alleged he was being restricted because he was too good.
League officials offered a different explanation, raising concerns about the conduct of the adults involved.
Then someone called the police.
Videos of the incident went viral. People took sides. Former US footballer Eddie Johnson offered to train him, and Roc Nation Sports reportedly arranged a football development trip to Spain.
Gofund me raised $42,000 for him.
One football match.
One police call.
Global attention.
New opportunities.
It’s a reminder of how quickly life can change when the world notices you.
The goal now shouldn’t be give him the space and support to develop his talent and enjoy being a child.

A NEW RESPONSIBILITY, A NEW NIGERIA
I want to thank all of you, my very dear friends and family, for your warm support and congratulatory messages on my appointment as the Director, New Media, NDC National Campaign Council, and my subsequent inauguration yesterday.
For me, this appointment is a call to greater responsibility to the long-suffering Nigerians who are, this time, committed to changing our nation. It is also a call to intensify the ongoing battle against misinformation, disinformation and fake news being peddled by the lackeys of the colourless Tinubu-led administration against HE, Mr Peter Obi, and the Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) ticket.
I sincerely thank my friends across party lines who sent tons of messages, made numerous calls, and shared literally thousands of social media posts and messages across my various channels.
Let me assure you that my inability to respond to everyone individually is simply because it is practically impossible to do so, given the sheer volume of messages. Please be assured that I hold you all in the highest esteem and deeply appreciate your kindness, encouragement and support.
I dedicate this appointment to the pursuit of our collective aspiration: the election of His Excellency, Mr Peter Gregory Obi, CON, as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I also use this opportunity to invite my dear friends across party lines to join me on this journey as we work vigorously towards building the Nigeria we all desire, a New Nigeria that is POssible.
With Obi and Kwankwaso, NIGERIA WILL BE OK!
Thank you all, and God bless you.

Your pension is not a deduction from your salary. It's a payment to your future self.
Imagine two workers earning ₦700,000 monthly.
Worker A sees pension contributions as money taken away from their salary. They focus only on what enters their bank account today.
Worker B understands that retirement will come whether they're financially prepared or not. They pay attention to their pension contributions, check their Retirement Savings Account (RSA) statements and understand how their retirement savings are invested.
Both workers earn the same amount. But they have different attitudes towards the income they won't need until later.
When retirement is decades away, it feels easy to postpone thinking about it.
You tell yourself you'll start saving more when you earn ₦1 million. Then ₦1.5 million. Then when the children finish school.
There's always another reason to delay.
Start by understanding your pension contributions, reviewing your RSA statement and checking that your employer remits contributions correctly. If you can afford additional voluntary contributions, investigate the applicable rules and tax treatment before proceeding.
Your pension may not fund every retirement dream, but ignoring it won't make retirement disappear.
The salary you earn today must serve two people: the person living now and the person you'll become.
Don't let one consume everything meant for the other.

Dear APC Chairman, this is the story of my life. 💔 under President Tinubu
My name is Jesuferanmi .
No, sir. The pain is not temporary.
I have a job, yet for the first time in my life, I am dropping my account details in random DMs, begging people to help me pay my rent for next month.
Since I became a responsible adult, I have never experienced life this way.
For the first time, I am losing sleep over rent.
For the first time, I have contemplated selling my car just to afford food and meet my basic needs.
For the first time, I can no longer afford the things I used to take for granted.
For the first time, I can no longer send money home to my parents.
For the first time, I have no savings. I live from one payday to the next, counting down to the 15th of every month.
For the first time, I can no longer afford to take myself out on a date.
And I have a job!
Now, explain to me how I am supposed to keep hoping under these conditions.
How do you tell a working-class Nigerian to remain hopeful when survival has become this exhausting?
How do you ask me to be patient when I watch APC youth leaders sharing Prado jeeps like party souvenirs?
How do I reconcile my daily struggle to afford rent, food and basic necessities with the display of wealth by those in power?
I am not asking for a Prado.
I am not asking for a handout.
I am asking for a country where an honest day’s work can afford me a decent life.
I am a Nigerian. I work. I try. I keep going.
But this pain is biting deep. It is affecting my dignity, my peace of mind and my ability to take care of the people I love.
This is not a statistic from an economic report.
This is not opposition propaganda.
This is my life. My reality. The story of a working-class Nigerian under your government.
And I know I am not alone.
Jesuferanmi. 💔🇳🇬
Listen Nigerians, when we come out enmasse, no one can stop us.
The easiest way to lose the election is voter's apathy.
They can cook for us and we will finish it easily. But if we cook for them, they can't eat it.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR VOTE TOO BIG TO RIG IN 2027. 🇳🇬
Rigging does not always begin when someone changes figures in a result sheet.
Sometimes, it succeeds because voters leave after voting and hope for INEC will do the right thing.
We saw how that played out in the last election.
If we want to protect our votes in 2027, we must understand something:
Voting is only the first step. Verifying the result is the next.
Here is what every Nigerian voter should know.
1. COLLECT YOUR PVC AND KNOW YOUR POLLING UNIT.
Confirm that your registration details are correct and know where you are expected to vote.
Do not wait until election morning to start searching for your polling unit. Use INEC's official channels to verify your information. Check my wall if you don't know how to.
2. VOTE AND STAY TO OBSERVE THE COUNT.
After casting your ballot, remain at the polling unit.
Observe the process as votes are sorted, counted and recorded. Do not allow anyone to intimidate you into leaving or to tell you that counting is none of your business.
You have a legitimate interest in seeing that your vote is counted accurately. Follow lawful instructions from election officials and do not obstruct their work.
3. PAY ATTENTION TO THE RESULT SHEET.
At the end of counting, the presiding officer records the results on the relevant result form, including Form EC8A for the polling unit.
Observe the figures as they are announced and recorded. Where the result sheet is publicly displayed, compare the figures with what you witnessed.
Look out for discrepancies between the votes counted and the figures recorded.
If you are a party agent or an accredited observer, follow the applicable procedures for obtaining and documenting the result.
Do not leave until the result are uploaded to Irev.
4. CHECK THE ELECTRONIC RESULT.
INEC's IReV portal allows the public to view uploaded polling unit result sheets.
Once you see your result on Irev, head to collation center.
5. PROTECT YOUR COMMUNITY FROM INTIMIDATION AND FALSE INFORMATION.
Reject vote buying, threats and attempts to prevent people from voting freely.
6. FOLLOW THE COLLATION PROCESS.
Results move from polling units through the prescribed collation process before final declaration.
Camp at the collation center until results are announced.
HERE IS THE BIG IDEA.
Rigging becomes harder when results can be checked against credible records, discrepancies are documented, election officials are held accountable and citizens refuse to be intimidated.
Do not wait until the final result is announced before taking an interest in your vote.
VOTE. OBSERVE THE COUNT. VERIFY THE RESULT. PRESERVE THE EVIDENCE. DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY.
And do it peacefully, lawfully and without fear.
Let's make the 2027 election TOO BIG TO RIG.
Share this with every Nigerian who plans to vote. 🇳🇬
The Igbos were conquered during the Civil War, whether it was by crook or by hook is a different conversation and not the essence of this write up.
After the war the Igbos were reduced to £20. Many lost their properties and their positions in leading in Education, and wealth.
But the Igbos on the average overcame that to become one of the most educated in Nigeria and the most successful tribe in not just Nigeria, but Africa as a whole.
But there is one aspect they have been unable to crack; politics.
Because they can't crack it, they have reduced themselves to lap dogs.
You will see it with Umahi, Soludo, Nwifuru, OUK etc.
It is exactly what you are seeing with Mbah.
Even the best performing governor in the country, Alex Otti, is also twerking.
Tell me another tribe whose leaders are doing to their own what they are doing to Peter Obi.
The good news is that PO is not an Igbo candidate. He is a Nigerian candidate.
The man who will lead us to the promised land.
In him we (Nigerians) are well please.
A new Nigeria is POssible and we shall be OK
Dear @PNMbah you can’t stop Peter Obi from coming to Enugu, you just can’t.
You will be resisted.
#TyrantPeterMbah #OccupyAmadeoEventCentre Now!!!
Based on the people that responded to this, more than 50% would be in trouble if they lost their job today.
In fact someone in the comment mentioned that his income doesn't last 30 minutes from the time he is paid.
Most Nigerians are living paycheck to paycheck.
We have no safety net should we lose our jobs.
Many are in fact living on loans to sustain the monthly salary.
It's not sustainable.
The problem is that no one is coming to save you. You must save yourself.
1. Set aside 10% of your income before you start spending. If you spend first before saving, there will be nothing left to save.
2. Use some of that savings to invest in skills that pay more.
3. Vote for leaders that care about you.
As a woman if marriage is important to you, find a man that is young with potential, stick by him.
As a man, if want to increase your chances of marrying right, find a wife before you find money.
Congrats Harry Kane on the ballon d'or.
The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood he was one of them.
A man was born in a Nigeria where education was free.
He was so gifted that he skipped primary and secondary school. His parents, who had benefited from free education themselves, taught him at home without having to pay school fees.
His mates who weren't geniuses like him went to school all the way to University for free.
He would later travel abroad for university education, return to Nigeria, and enter politics.
His generation benefited from a system that made education accessible, his parents benefited from it also.
But when it came to your generation, the story changed.
He jacked up school fees making education harder for ordinary families to afford.
Then he introduced a student loan scheme to help you borrow money to pay the higher fees.
Now, you have to borrow to access an opportunity that previous generations could access without taking on that debt.
And when you graduate, you will have to repay the money. In fact the government will have the power to withdraw the payment straight from your bank account.
Yet here you are, online, praising him and shouting:
"Honestly, this government has cooked! Every student should be grateful. I can now go to school without worrying about fees."
You are celebrating being given a loan to pay fees that you are struggling to afford, while ignoring the question of why education has become so expensive in the first place.
If your landlord triples your rent and then offers you a loan to pay it, will you praise him?
