Here's another one for you analytic geeks. Those back-to-back home runs by the Brewers were by lefthanded batters against lefthanded Dodger pitcher, Blake Snell. That's not supposed to happen, is it?

Chalk one up to analytics. Your pitcher has thrown 5 innings of shutout ball and only 70 pitches. You pull him anyway and 5 batters later you've blown the lead and trail the world champs.

How does a team win a division and the first round of the playoffs and not have starting pitching. Sounds like Chris Sale is the only starter the Braves have. How is that possible?

NBC's announcers format has been awesome this season. Kruk is always entertaining and Vasgersian is one of the best. But Votto and this other guy in the booth need to get their heads out of pitcher's handbook and talk about other than the X's and O's. Boring.

A lot of Braves fans dressed as empty seats at Truist Park in Atlanta this afternoon.

Just wondering why Pebble Beach isn't a major. Great location, challenging coarse. Would be a perfect way to draw in the casual golf fans.

This Skycast on ESPNU is great. A nice alternative to those overly- dramatic...constantly chattering announcers we're forced to listen to on the "traditional" telecasts. Here's hoping this format will become a regular feature @espn

So refreshing to have Bob Costa and Ron Darling on the mic after three hours listening to AJ and Waino drone on and on about pitch selection. Come on Fox, do better

Wonder how much Strauss paid to have their name pasted on all of the batting helmets during the Wildcard round

This crew working the #tigers - #astros game is so good I had to double check to make sure I was on ESPN. Michael Kay is the best, Tim Kurkjian is so entertaining and Todd Frazier is a keeper. They don't talk analytics all game. It's very refreshing

So great to see Bruce Bochy back in the game. The Rangers are lucky to have him...

Is it wrong to place last night's Aztecs buzzer beater alongside Steve Garvey's home run in 1984 or Dennis Gibson knocking down the pass in the end zone to send the Chargers to the Super Bowl in 1995 as the all-time greatest plays in San Diego sports history?
