𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲.
In 2023, I joined the Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana after spending 18 years in IT.
No chamber.
No family connections in the High Court.
And no idea how a young advocate is supposed to build a practice while staying within the rules.
𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁.
I realised that the traditional chamber system isn't the only path into law.
Young advocates can find opportunities in areas such as business notices, compliance, labour issues, cyber-fraud cases and other practical legal problems that people face every day.
But there was another question:
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀?
I spent a lot of time reading Rule 36, court judgments and BCI directions instead of relying on the usual "this is how things are done" advice.
And I documented what I learned.
I wrote this book for the first-year advocate who doesn't have a mentor.
Inside, I cover:
• How to start earning within your first 90 days
• What different opportunities can actually pay
• How to find your first three clients within the professional rules
• How to set your fees and invoice clients
• A practical month-by-month roadmap for your first year
𝗡𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀.
𝗡𝗼 𝘃𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 "𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲" 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.
𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱.
The book is:

How to Make Money as a Young Advocate Without Waiting 10 Years
𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆.
If you're a young advocate coming back from court after a long day and wondering how you're going to build a practice, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
And if you're a senior who once had someone guide you, consider sharing it with a junior who may not have had that opportunity.

ACP Manasvi Vashishtha is now on the other side of the legal battle.
If he decides to challenge his suspension, he'll obviously need an advocate.
Who will represent him now?
Quite an interesting role reversal!
The Home Ministry reportedly suspended ACP Manasvi Vashistha with immediate effect after yesterday's protest outside Police Headquarters against his transfer.
A transfer order cannot justify uniformed police personnel staging demonstrations that raise questions about discipline and institutional conduct.
But the bigger question remains: What action, if any, will be taken against the other police personnel who reportedly joined the protest in uniform and stood in support of him?
Rules of discipline and conduct must apply equally to everyone, irrespective of rank or position. Uniform is a symbol of authority and responsibility, not a tool for personal or collective protests.
Most people think building wealth is about earning more money.
That's only one part of it.
7 financial lessons can completely change how you look at money.
And most people learn them much later than they should.
A thread 🧵
6. Your network has economic value.
The right introduction can bring you a client.
The right conversation can open a business opportunity.
The right person can save you years of mistakes.
Build genuine relationships, not just contacts.
7. Avoid looking rich before becoming financially secure.
Expensive cars, branded clothes and impressive holidays can create an image.
Financial freedom comes from assets, savings, skills, and sensible decisions.
Build wealth first. Let the lifestyle follow.
Save this thread. Your future self may thank you.
One thing I've noticed about people:
They will forgive your mistakes.
They will even forget your failures.
But the moment your success makes them uncomfortable, their behaviour changes.
Success reveals relationships in ways failure never does.

Some companies seem to have mastered advertising but forgotten the basics of running a business.
@DoodhvaleFarms is a perfect example of my recent experience.
Order marked DELIVERED, although I never received it.
WhatsApp support: No response.
Email support: Waiting.
Urgent assistance: Doesn't seem to exist.
Your advertising is everywhere, but when an actual customer needs help, nobody is available.
What's the point of spending so much on acquiring customers if you cannot even provide basic customer support?
Marketing can bring customers in, but customer service is what keeps them.
Extremely disappointing!

Not everyone needs to become an entrepreneur.
A good job, financial discipline, a healthy family, and peace of mind can make for an excellent life.
People should stop making others feel unsuccessful simply because they don't want to build a company.
Good morning ☕️
A peaceful mind, a healthy body, meaningful work, and people who genuinely care.
The older you get, the more you realize how rich this combination really is.
