I love when it’s Halloween. It reminds me of when I first met Marina from @ALDIOUS_Staff, and her band would then join my label JPU Records soon after. That particular time JPU had a booth at @mcmcomiccon, and the moment the event finished we’d take everything back into storage and then head out to Tokyo. I remember back then everyone was making out Halloween in Shibuya to be THE thing to do, and the trip coincided with it, so I was kinda excited to experience it… well, until I got there 😅 The streets were rammed! I was meeting a friend at the other end of Centre Gai and it took forever just to reach them. Just people everywhere, standing about, doing absolutely nothing. It was like kick-out time at Comic Con and everyone’s stuck on the platform, in costume, waiting for the train to arrive. I dunno, didn’t really interest me in the slightest! So anyway, met my friend and had some food, and said goodbye. Time had passed and the streets were just getting busier and more annoying as time went on. I decided this wasn’t for me, so I hoped on a train to visit my friend’s bar in Shimokitazawa instead. Maybe that’s where actual fun is happening. Long story short, it wasn’t, but!! While sitting in there yapping away, in walks the boss of a record label and he recognised me. He’s with a lady and he tells the lady that if she’s interested in international activities she should talk to me. So she did! It was Marina! And her English was amazing!! (If you didn’t know, her father is American drummer Terry Bozzio). Her band had a show the next day in Chiba, and I was invited to come check it out. Anyway, I did, and what’s how Aldious ended up joining JPU Records. 😁 Now every Halloween I think about it. How excited I was to be part of Halloween in Tokyo, and how disappointed I was, so I left and then the truly exciting things happened 😁😁 Anyway, just one of many stories in JPU’s on going adventures in music 😁 🎶

Congrats!
