In 1986 a guy got kicked out of every casino in Vegas for counting cards. So he flew to Hong Kong with $180,000 and started betting on horses instead. He walked away with almost $900 million. It was Bill Benter. He realized horse racing was just another counting problem same math, more moving parts. He and a partner built a computer model that estimated the true odds of each horse. If his numbers showed an edge, he bet. If not, he skipped it. That’s the whole trick: Expected value. EV = p · b − (1 − p) Only bet when the probability of winning × the potential payout is greater than the chance of losing. What’s even crazier is that Benter once gave a 45-minute lecture explaining the math behind his system. That recording was never supposed to become public. And almost nobody knows it exists. This is the lecture that professional bettors and hedge fund analysts studied. The answer is in this video.

Imagine being a CEO of an US energy company and thinking that you work with close associates of the Trump family, only to find out that behind them is a sanctioned Russian company, really pulling the strings. This happened in Alaska. Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, stepped down after finding out that the Russian "Novatek" company, which is under US sanctions, has been involved in a $25 billion energy project in Alaska. The CEO thought that he was working with Gentry Beach, a close friend of Donald Trump Junior. Reportedly, that project was also discussed between Witkoff and Jared Kushner when they were with Putin. The White House admitted that the project was talked about "briefly". We are witnessing the greatest corruption scandal the USA has ever witnessed. It all leads to Trump, his family and the Russians, and apparently they were even ready to sell riches of Alaska to the Russians. The people in Alaska just need to look over to Russia, where the richest regions in terms of minerals and hydrocarbon resources have been stripped-mined, transferring all the wealth to Moscow and Saint Petersburg and leaving a scarred landscape in extreme poverty. That is the result of rampant corruption. We are starting to see more details why Trump and his friends are trying so strongly to bully Ukraine into surrender. This is most certainly only the tip of the iceberg.

American news networks almost never mention it, but ask any U.S. soldier or Marine who flew into Baghdad between 2004 and 2008 about the sky-blue Japanese C-130s. During the height of the Iraq War, roads around Baghdad were packed with roadside bombs. Every time U.S. troops moved by truck convoy, young Americans died. They desperately needed air transport. Japan's constitution forbade its military from firing a single bullet in offensive combat. Critics said Japan would stay home. Instead, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force sent its C-130H Hercules transport crews straight into the fire. Why did the Japanese paint their cargo planes pale sky-blue? Because insurgent snipers and shoulder-fired missile teams were waiting around Baghdad International Airport. Since the Japanese crews carried no offensive weapons, they painted their planes the exact color of the desert sky so gunners on the ground could not lock onto them with the naked eye. To dodge surface-to-air missiles, those Japanese pilots flew directly over the airfield at high altitude, chopped the throttle, and dove straight down in a violent corkscrew spiral onto the tarmac. For four years and nine months, Japan's blue C-130s flew 821 mission days. They carried 673 tons of supplies and transported 46,500 U.S. and coalition troops safely out of harm's way without losing a single life. American GIs called them the Baghdad Express. A warrior does not need to fire a rifle to save his friend. Sometimes he just needs to paint his wings the color of the sky and dive into the storm.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Lauren J. Singer was traveling over the Coronado Bridge near San Diego, California, returning to her on base residence, when she noticed a stranded motorist outside his vehicle. Singer asked if he needed any help, and the driver responded that he was fine. Something in the manner of the driver’s response triggered her intuition and made her feel that something was not right. She noticed the driver putting a rope around his neck. As he was putting a foot on the barrier to jump over the side, Singer rushed to his side, pulling him back. Startled, she grabbed him and asked what he was doing. He coolly responded by saying that today was the day he was going to die. While Singer was holding the driver, she noticed a knife on the barrier ledge. She cut the rope from around his neck, dropped the knife and kicked it underneath the car. She then identified a gun in his pocket. She removed the firearm and directed other stopped motorists to lock the gun securely in the trunk and call 911. She stayed with the suicidal driver until the California Highway Patrol arrived. Singer’s willingness to assist a stranger undoubtedly resulted in saving his life. We salute you Petty Officer Singer! WHAT MAKES A HERO???? Reuters: Do you miss being an actor? Zelenskyy: I miss being a good father. What did you tell your children when they were young? I love you. And now, when they’ve grown up? I miss you Are you a hero? No. So who is your hero? My children, our army, and the Ukrainian people. I am part of our nation. I think our nation is absolutely heroic. (1/)

I am grateful for your support for Ukraine. Thank you. We’ve been through a lot together – during these years of full-scale war. None of us wanted this war, absolutely none of us. But it is us who have to deal with its brutality and all the instability it has caused. Unity in defense is always built by many standing together. Without a determined European Union capable of making strong decisions Putin would have gone much further by now. The European Union has not fallen apart. It has not backed down or given in to fear when it came to defending the European way of life. And that mattered just as much as the courage of Ukrainians. From an address to the participants of the European Council meeting. (1/5)
