My husband & I said goodbye to our Roselind (Roz) on Tuesday. A tumor was found in her abdomen in late February. We rescued her in 2011, so we're not sure about her age. She was beautiful, silly, and loved car rides & peanut butter. Rest well, dear Roselind. We miss you.

COULD YOUR COMPANY HELP DOGS ON THE STREETS?
We have a little favour to ask, and we’re hoping a kind-hearted business might be able to help us.
At Dogs on the Streets, we utilise your generous donations where they are needed most , supporting the dogs in our Sanctuary with veterinary care, food, essential supplies and everything they need to live happier, healthier lives.
Our priority will always be the dogs. Every penny we can raise goes towards helping them, which means we simply cannot justify spending charity funds on something we desperately need ourselves.
We would LOVE to attend more events, raise awareness and meet more wonderful supporters, but one thing that holds us back is not having our own branded event setup.
We have found a gazebo, table covering and matching promotional flags that would make such a difference to how we represent our charity at events. The full setup costs approximately £1,000.
Unfortunately, we just cannot afford to fund this ourselves while we are so focused on raising vital funds for the dogs in our care.
So, we’re asking is there a company or business out there who would consider sponsoring our event setup?
In return, we would be more than happy to have your company’s branding displayed on the gazebo, proudly acknowledging your kindness and support.
This would be so much more than a gazebo. It would help us attend events, reach new supporters, spread awareness of our work and, ultimately, raise more money for the dogs who depend on us.
We are doing everything we can to make every donation count for the dogs. We just need a little help with this one.
If your business could help, or you know a company that might be interested, we would be incredibly grateful if you could get in touch.

From all of us at Dogs on the Streets, and especially from the dogs who need us , thank you for caring. 🧡

This is ridiculous. I don't want to do this at all, but we are struggling. We had gotten a good chunk of the money to rent a dumpster from you wonderful people. We just received the dumpster. However, we can't do the yardwork in it like we thought we could😔 We rented a skidsteer to help with the job because we couldn't get it done the last time. It was simply too much work. The skidsteer rental was more than the dumpster😫 ($1300). We will use the dumpster for other things and we still need the skidsteer to do the job, but we're reaching out because we need to rent a truck and trailer and Mom has 2 huge dollars in the bank. We hate this. We hate that we have to put out a help sign. And unfortunately because we only have everything for the weekend (the dumpster until next Friday), we need to rent this truck/trailer tomorrow. We have a couple of shirts we'd love to do for a contest. Please donate to LolaPatolla first, the doggies need it❤️ but if you have a few dollars left and it's burning a hole in your pocket..🤷♂️ Contest ends next Saturday at 8am. We will have 5 winners. PayPal is in our bio. Anything leftover, if there is anything, will go towards Dillons cyst surgery. We appreciate you all so much❤️

Replying to @atrupar
Now, this is goddam journalistic malpractice. Everybody in that fucking room knows he's lying, but not one...NOT ONE...has the balls to challenge his bullshit.
Just ask him to name one state where this is happening. IS THAT SO GODDAM DIFFICULT? Jesus.
I grew up Catholic. I'm no longer religious, but Jesus, Mary, and Joseph @RepMariaSalazar, you almost made me do the sign of the cross hearing you talk like this.
What is wrong with you? If I still believed, I would say you are blasphemous. You're definitely delusional 🥴.
Be sure to click on the link at the end of Mr. Casler's post to read more of his article. His words articulate what I think many of us are feeling right now. Thank you, Mr. Casler.

“I grew up with a single mom in the 1970s and early 80s, until I later moved in with my grandparents.
I lived in neighborhoods where latchkey kids came home to empty refrigerators and relied on school lunch programs to be fed during the day. After school and summer programs provided arts and cultural education to children with limited resources and opportunities.
I saw Ronald Reagan come in and gut those programs - the cruelty of it and what it does to a childhood has never left me.
What we are witnessing now almost makes that time look innocent, and the amount of suffering and the staunching of individual progress in favor of misery for the masses, while the few control everything and profit obscenely is not a world we want to leave to future generations.
A country that no longer invests in its children is not a place that can ever be called great.
We must stand up to this tyranny with all of our might, imagination and faith in a better day.
These are hard times, make no mistake, but there is unity and empathy in the human soul that we must draw on in these difficult times.
I believe in the dreams that still seem far way.
I believe in the creativity and spirit of a nation peopled with so many different colors and creeds. Our diversity is our strength. A paintbox of many colors makes a masterpiece when the brush is in the right hands.”open.substack.com/pub/noelca…

Morning😊
We put a call out recently to see if we could help any galgos or Podencos that had been locked away in perreras for a long time.
We’ve had tonnes of messsges about Podencos, they really seem to be forgotten. We’ve also had messages about lots of pods on the streets in an attempt to stop them going to the perreras.
The ones already in for years seem to be seen as a lost cause. It’s sad either way when not in loving arms.
Why do we want to search for the forgotten? Unless you’ve seen for yourself the decline of a smart dog trapped in a cage for years it’s hard to understand. Our dogs get out a fair few times a day and can still emotionally withdraw (but we have resources to react) so imagine those that receive nothing except the basics to survive.
A Dog on the streets gets an instant emotional response and people rush to help and so they should and so we will continue to do so but those looking at four walls day in day out, being bullied by other dogs, giving up on even eating or ever experiencing freedom again are the ones we want to help this time.
We can’t forget them. Don’t let them rot away unseen. This is Porthos❤️
He was in a perrera for 3 years since being a pup. He’s so scared he just freezes in hope he won’t put a paw wrong. He’s 3yrs old and looking for a patient home. He doesn’t yet walk on a lead and we have to carry him out of the kennel but already he’s curious about his new routine.
Porthos will likely need the home to make huge steps forward as the hustle bustle of kennel is so negative for him.
Plz share and let’s get him a home 🙏🏻❤️
Hello fellow Wisconsin-nites. Anyone familiar with accommodations in the Peshtigo/Marinette area? @WmDeanFrench's mother is entering hospice, and he is looking for some recommendations on where to stay. Thank you for your help.
