As the group NewJeans celebrates the fourth anniversary of its fandom, Bunnies, fans continue to voice their protests.
On the 29th, ADOR released photos of members Hanni, Hyein, Minji, and Haerin one by one through NewJeans’ official social media accounts, accompanied by the message, “Bunnies Day, Happy 4th Bunnies Day!”
The released photos featured what appeared to be recent glimpses of the NewJeans members, who have been on hiatus since suspending their activities. In particular, the group is now being presented as a four-member lineup following the removal of member Danielle.
However, despite the release of these photos, numerous fans celebrated Bunnies Day while expressing their support for all five NewJeans members, including Danielle, using hashtags such as ‘Always With Bunnies,’ ‘NEWJEANS IS FIVE,’ ‘Free NewJeans,’ ‘NewJeans’ Five Are One,’ ‘Either All Members Return or All Contracts Are Terminated,’ and ‘아무리 돌려도 색깔은 파란 바지 ’
Meanwhile, Min Hee-jin, former ADOR CEO and current CEO of OOAK Records, drew considerable attention from fans after sharing a lengthy message written by a fan about NewJeans on her personal social media account.
Today (the 29th), Min Hee-jin shared a Bunnies' post on her Instagram Story. The post read:
“Please remember that this current hiatus is not a defeat. You are simply taking a temporary pause while fighting for what you believe is right.”
The Bunnies member expressed their unwavering affection for NewJeans, writing:
“We are not just a fandom. We are Bunnies, and we are NewJeans’ closest friends.
The reason we have stayed by NewJeans’ side is not simply because it brings us joy, but because the members mean so much to us.
There are no comebacks, no new updates, no music, and no performances. We don't even know whether the members will be able to perform again, but we are still waiting.
We are a fandom that grew into one movement alongside five girls.
We will wait for NewJeans, no matter how long it takes.”
Previously, NewJeans announced the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR unilaterally during a press conference in November 2024. After a year of legal disputes, Haerin and Hyein returned to ADOR.
ADOR filed a lawsuit in December of the same year seeking confirmation that its exclusive contracts with NewJeans remained valid, and the company won the case.
Subsequently, Haerin and Hyein returned to ADOR first last year, followed by Hanni and Minji. However, discussions regarding Minji's return are reportedly still ongoing.
In Danielle's case, ADOR determined that continuing to work together would be difficult, notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract, and removed her from NewJeans. ADOR is currently engaged in legal proceedings after filing a damages lawsuit against Danielle and former CEO Min Hee-jin, among others.
Last July, on the occasion of NewJeans' fourth debut anniversary, ADOR attracted attention by releasing a new group photo and individual photos featuring the four members, excluding Danielle.
However, ADOR stated, “We plan to announce the specific details and format of NewJeans' activities after discussions with the members have been fully concluded.” No information has been disclosed regarding the group's comeback date or future activity plans.
NewJeans has been on hiatus for an extended period, with their last release being the double single ‘How Sweet,’ released on May 24, 2024.

from ador chasing damages amounting to 4 billion won, the higher court finalized that only 1 billion won will be enforceable. that's it. there's no partial claim.
it boils down to the dolphiners having to fork out 1 billion won. a penalty for posting a director's cut of eta following all the guidelines and just missing out on a written agreement.

The hypocrisy of ADOR celebrating “Bunnies Day” as if nothing happened is unbelievable.
How can you celebrate Bunnies, a fandom built around loving and supporting all five members of NewJeans, when your own actions have torn the group apart? You kicked Danielle out and took her to court, while also going after Bunnies who stood up for the girls. And now you want to celebrate the very fandom you’ve hurt, as if a cute post and a few nostalgic memories can erase everything that has happened?
You cannot spend months creating division between the members and their fans, pursue legal action against the people who defended them, and then turn around and pretend that Bunnies Day is just another happy occasion.
You cannot claim to celebrate Bunnies while disregarding what Bunnies have been fighting for.
Bunnies Day was never about a company or a brand. It was about the bond between NewJeans and their fans. It was about five girls who gave us their music and shared moments that meant something to us.
You cannot erase Danielle from NewJeans and expect us to celebrate as though nothing is missing. You cannot punish people for defending the girls and then expect their loyalty to remain unquestioned.
Bunnies Day belongs to the bond between Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein, and their fans who love them, not to the company that holds their contracts.
If ADOR genuinely understood what this day meant, perhaps it would start by acknowledging the damage they’ve done instead of pretending everything is business as usual.
We remember all five. We will not pretend that everything is okay just because you want us to.
