I have been meaning to write this article for a long time, but there is still that anxiety about sharing your lived experience. However, the response responses has just been wonderful and have outlined that we need to talk more about therapists with Lived Experience.

And #BABCP2022 is over! I'm exhausted, but I'm so so glad I went. I'm leaving with lots of new ideas, many reflections on what else we can do to improve CBT training, new connections & happy memories. I'll also be starting the countdown for Cardiff now!
Final day tomorrow! I'll be spending a few days catching up on recordings of talks I have missed after this (and start counting the days until the next conference!)
The roundtable on perspectives on CBT training had me thinking how ultimately, we are all on the same page: we want to respond to patients' changing needs in iapt. And we all hold responsibility to give our trainees the core skills & environment they need to show this flexibility
Whenever I attend any CFT talks & trainings, I hang on to every word that is being said - but hearing @ProfPaulGilbert today talk about being "frozen in grief" was something that I will not forget.
This was followed by outstanding presentations, including @drjanegregory - loved seeing the passion about CBT for #misophonia and hearing lived experiences - I'd love to hear more patient voices at #babcp2023!
Another fantastic day at #babcp2022. Great to see more research being done by Elaine Hunter on depersonalisation derealization disorder - a disorder that in my opinion we haven't been paying enough attention to!

Great #BABCP2022 Watch the video if you can!
It's only day 1 for me and I've seen many concepts discussed that resonate with my experiences in clinical practice - excited for tomorrow!
It was great reflecting on how far we have come with CBT - and exciting to see how much more potential there is for further research. A great point was made by Andrew Gloster - we want to make sure that we don't just look at the 66% that recover, but also the 33% that don't.
Felt so lucky being at #BABCP2022 today. Started with a thought-provoking roundtable with @LaylaMofrad, @clara_strauss @MattStalker4 & Jessi Komes and finished with an excellent keynote by @AdamRadomsky - plus many great talks in between.
..me all day..
In London and so ready for #BABCP2022 ! The biggest challenge so far has been figuring out what to choose from tomorrow's programme!
