Hey devs! 👋
Quick question, how are we actually sharing production keys, .env files, or database passwords with teammates these days? We all know pasting them in Slack or Discord isn't ideal, but password managers can feel like overkill for a quick handoff.
I’m working on a research-driven tool called LockShare to build a better alternative, and I’d love to get your raw feedback on how you handle this and what your ideal workflow looks like.
It’s a super quick, entirely multiple-choice questionnaire: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…
Appreciate your time and insights!

I have been mentoring and unblocking developers on Solana for over two years and, deriving/enforcing secure Program Derived Addresses (PDA) is usually by far the most difficult concept for new Solana devs to understand.
So let's break it down:
What are PDAs? These are deterministically derived addresses that lies off the Ed25519 elliptic curve and is derived from a set of seeds, a program ID, a bump seed and SHA-256. They do not have a corresponding private key like regular keypair accounts.
PDAs by nature of their design have a secure derivation mechanism, however, several security vectors lies in the way a program derive, validates, initializes and authorize access to a PDA.
PDAs are very useful for program-controlled authority in vaults, escrow accounts, state account and token authorities as well.
So if PDAs are very secure, what could possibly go wrong?
Well..here is the thing, there are a lot of things that can go wrong but not at the underlying PDA cryptographic layer. For example, say a program derives a user vault, it is very important to use the canonical bump when deriving a PDA to avoid having multiple valid off-curve addresses for the seeds. Failure to use the canonical bump means your program can accept an arbitrary bump supplied by the user and gives an attacker window to create or substitute an alternative vault address. There's also the possibility of seed collision and account substitution attacks but most of these comes from irresponsible validations.
Can someone steal funds from a PDA? Actually no- at least not by simply knowing its address as a PDA does not have a private key. The only way this can happen is if the program controlling the PDA has a vulnerability.
So if you are building Solana programs, I'd advise you consistently enforce the following practices:
1. Always validate PDAs against canonical bumps.
2. Use domain-separated seeds
3. ALWAYS validate account ownership independent of PDA derivation. This is a very important check, because PDA derivation authority and account ownership are not the same thing.
4. Validate all your signers (explicitly).
5. Validate all CPI target accounts.
6. As much as possible, keep PDA signing privileges minimal.
7. Protect upgrade authority at all cost! Last thing you need is an upgradeable program changing the logic controlling its PDAs.
PDAs are an interesting design that is unique to Solana and builds on its account-centric architecture and enables user-defined state easier to manage while providing a program level authority to users, unlocking many useful applications and features.
I might be thinking nonsense lol, but I was just reading the @solana docs as I'm a part of the Q4 builders for @solanaturbine while listening to some good music btw. Then, I got to the part about PDAs, and what I understand is that they are program derived addresses, with seeds and an extra bump value to bump it off the ed5519 elliptic curve, this makes it not have private key. Now, what I am thinking, is it secure? and if it is, how? shouldn't it be more vulnerable now that it doesn't have a private key? or does it inherit same security capabilities as point on the curve just for being on the same elliptic field?
Please, I just want someone to let me know if I'm saying nonsense but if I'm not, kindly help me with an answer?

Last year 150+ builders showed up for our Stellar event in PH.
This year we're not doing another "intro to blockchain." We're putting devs and non-devs in teams and building real payment tools for problems we actually face here: campus payments, small business, creators.
If you've been waiting for a sign to start building, this is it 👇

finally won my first hackathon!!🥹
after months of disappointment, I really needed the validation. 😌
this is just the beginning.
Life update y'all.
You're going to see more of me these coming weeks because I'm going to cook so much, y'all will beg me to to turn off the gas 🤺🤺
Huge thanks to @solanaturbine for this opportunity. Now, let's learnnnn!!!
I'll keep y'all updated, let's goooo🎉🎉🎉

Glad to see our members diversifying!
The game is confusing though, when are you gonna make yours?
Have a cup of coffee, then get on @RemixGG_. That's my fault schedule these days😆
Here's a clip of the kind of fun games on Remix. This is Star shredder(I'm bad at it🥲)

And so Spaceman RTA and ui-theme start to diverge... uitheme-rn is now in Alpha

With Spaceman react theme animation (or uitheme-web) you can toggle theme for based on different actions on your app...
Want a blog or article section to be rendered in monospace font and great contrast theme, use the `createColorThemeToggle` to automatically change the theme when users navigate to that route.

I've made a lot of posts on this matter. i really just don't like pastors and i totally hate when they use the influence they have on their members to brainwash them.
