END CANNABIS PROHIBITION NOW
a 👾GUAP 🎙️MIC 💧DROP
It’s October 29th, 2026. Leaves are falling, election’s right around the corner, and what do the Democrats do? Drop an 89-page rewrite of the Controlled Substances Act. Steve Cohen — his *500th* bill, because apparently he’s been practicing — introduces the “Public Health and Research Reforms in Controlled Substances Act.”
Public health! Research! Equal justice! It deschedules marijuana entirely. Removes it from the CSA. Retroactive. Mandatory minimums for drug offenses? Gone. New dual-axis scheduling. Shifts power from the DEA to HHS. Looks at fentanyl, meth, psilocybin with actual science instead of Nixon panic.
And I’m sitting here thinking: *Where the hell was this in 1971? 1986? 1996? 2006? 2016?*
We’ve spent half a century locking people up for a plant that grows in the ground while you can walk into any liquor store and buy something that kills more people than pot ever will. We’ve had mandatory minimums that turned a couple of ounces into a life sentence because someone in 1986 was terrified of crack and decided weight was destiny. And now, *now*, right before people go to the polls, someone finally says the war on drugs was a colossal, expensive, racist, stupid failure.
But of course it’s a Democrat, and of course it’s right before an election. Because that’s the move! Introduce the bold, righteous, common-sense bill that has almost zero chance of passing in a divided Congress, get the press release, get the NORML endorsement, get the applause from the people who already agree with you, and then when nothing happens you can say, “Well, we tried.”
Meanwhile, the actual path that’s already crawling forward is the rescheduling to Schedule III. The Trump administration’s been moving that along. Not descheduling — just moving it down so it’s treated more like other medicines. And that matters because of 280E. Right now the IRS treats these legal businesses like they’re drug traffickers. They can’t deduct ordinary expenses. Rent, payroll, the electric bill — none of it. So even in states where it’s legal and they’re paying taxes, the federal government is still strangling them. FINCEN guidance for banking is still a mess. Banks still treat them like lepers. Rescheduling to III would kill 280E. Banking gets easier. The industry stops being a tax-and-banking piñata.
That’s the slow, bureaucratic, half-measure path that’s actually happening. This Cohen bill is the full “rip the Band-Aid off and rewrite the whole damn statute” version. And the timing is pure theater.
But here’s the thing that makes me want to scream *and* slightly less want to scream: if the Democrats win the House *and* the Senate, they actually have a shot at passing *something*. Maybe not this exact 89-page monster. Maybe a cleaner descheduling bill. Maybe something that finally ends the federal prohibition instead of just moving the plant one slot down the schedule while the rest of the war on drugs keeps rolling. They’ve introduced these things for years and then watched them die. If they control both chambers, the excuse gets a lot thinner.
We’ve had state legalization for over a decade in some places. People are buying it in stores like it’s toothpaste. The federal government is still pretending it’s as dangerous as heroin. The tax code is still punishing the legal businesses. And the solution has been… more bills, more press conferences, more “most Americans believe the war on drugs has been a failure.”
*Most Americans* have believed that for years! The people who got their lives wrecked over a joint have believed it! The scientists who couldn’t study it have believed it! The taxpayers who funded this nonsense have believed it! The dispensary owners getting taxed into the ground under 280E have believed it!
So we get the big comprehensive reform, or we get the incremental Schedule III path, or maybe if the election goes a certain way we get both. It’s closer to rational than anything that’s been proposed in decades. And that’s the part that makes me want to scream. Because if it’s this obvious now, why did it take until the election cycle of 2026 for a senior Democrat on the Judiciary Committee to introduce it as his 500th bill while he’s on the way out?
We’re not going to fix a fifty-year policy disaster with a press release timed to the news cycle. We’re going to fix it when enough people get so tired of the stupidity that they stop rewarding the theater and start demanding the actual change. Until then, enjoy the bill. It’ll look great in the campaign ads.
And then, after the election — if the numbers fall the right way — maybe, *maybe*, they finally do something that isn’t just another press release. Or maybe we all go right back to wondering why the hell this is still this hard.

NEW: DEA filed a brief arguing that the Trump administration's proposal to reschedule marijuana is not undermined by a recently published federal watchdog agency report that found "gaps" in the government's process for evaluating controlled substances.
"The Government respectfully requests that the Court give the GAO Report no weight."

ROGERS IS ABOUT TO CHARGE 🇨🇦 FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF PAYING THEIR BILL.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Starting January 17, 2027, Rogers and Fido will introduce a 1.6% processing fee for customers paying their phone & internet bills by credit card.
On a $200 monthly bill, that’s another $38.40 a year. Just for paying your bill.
And here’s the kicker.
Quebec customers are exempt. Why? Because Quebec’s consumer protection laws prohibit these surcharges.
Apparently, consumers in the rest of Canada don’t deserve the same protection.
Remember, Telus tried this in 2022. Consumer backlash eventually helped push it to reverse course.
In 2022, Rogers said it had no plans to introduce a similar fee. Four years later, here we are.
This is what happens when competition is weak. Instead of fighting to win customers, companies find new ways to charge the ones they already have.

With $MSOS monthly support 3.88 breaking (Thanks GLAS) This has to be the low or we will be seeing longer term red flags. I am still only in TRLV after bailing MSOS 4.80 on the news, but will trigger back into my CRON 3.32 where I sold it as the weekly chart continues to tighten. I will do an update video towards end of month.
Im a simple man. If $MSOS 4H EMA12 is resistance, I don't even think about a long.
