Seriously, thank gods Xincheng left, although we don't know what he had to do / pay to get out of renewing with them. EE is about on par with S*M in my books for being a disgusting as f company. And what's worse is that they weren't even approaching competent at their job of managing him.

Thankfully, that Zhang Xincheng has finally broken free from this unethical company. Getting to the end of that contract was far from easy, and it must have taken a massive emotional and mental toll on him. During the transition period while filming the Archives The Nanyang Mystery project, behind-the-scenes footage showed Xincheng singing the "Butterfly" song—a song he used to encourage and comfort himself. To anyone else who is still stuck in a similarly toxic and unethical company, I hope you all find your way out and break free as soon as possible.
