Almost a kilometre of the famous shopping street is now pedestrianised, with cars, buses, taxis and bicycles banned between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street.

Cyclists are continuing to ride along the newly pedestrianised section of Oxford Street, despite being asked to dismount.
Around seven security staff have been stationed near Oxford Circus, calling out to cyclists to get off their bikes, with mixed success.

Hundreds of people gathered at London Fields on Saturday evening to watch two men dressed as medieval knights jousting on e-bikes.
The event was organised by east London artists Jack Carden and Camtholomew the First, who reportedly advertised it as a joke before it unexpectedly took off.
