RTTY might be old school, buy boy isn’t fascinating?
The musicality of it is worth in and of itself 🎵🎵
Next wfweb release includes full RTTY capabilities thanks to DeepRTTY’s powerful machine learning model.
Plus a nice suprise!
you can’t miss v0.9.5!
Next wfweb release is going to be huge for CW.
I’m adding support for the DeepCW decoder (which is phenomenal for weak signals) and also for physical paddles and VFO wheels.
I made it through! 😁
According to the FreeDV netcontrol this might be their first “software-less” QSO ever!
If you want to try FreeDV/RADE yourself all you need is:
- an Icom
- a Web Browser
Visit wfweb.k1fm.us and you’re ready to go.
(video recording included)
Hi-Fi audio on HF
RADE is a pretty cool digital mode!
Plus is also open source and continuously being improved by other fellow hams.
Try it
FT8: the recording swaps the scope for the decode view. Waterfall, decodes and the QSO as it unfolds, all in the video. FT4 works the same way.
wfweb 0.9.1 is out 📻 New here? It's a web UI for Icom rigs — waterfall, CW, FT8, packet, right in your browser.
Server logbook, AppImages (Pi too!), FIXED scope, memories on legacy rigs... most of it came from your requests. Keep them coming!

I was thinking about making an iOS version of wfweb but turns out you really can't publish GPL software on the Apple Store unless authorized by the copyright holder (which in this case are many).
What a bummer! It would have been a great FREE app
JS8 is live in wfweb — and it looks nothing like JS8Call.
Reinvented for the browser: QSO tabs, a command palette, chat-style group/@ALLCALL channels. Built like the chat app JS8 always wanted to be.
Try it, nothing to install: wfweb.k1fm.us 👇
HF Packet in a browser tab. No install, no drivers, no SDR.
Plug your Icom into USB, open Chrome, you're on the air:
→ wfweb.k1fm.us
Also: Digital Voice (RADE), SSB, CW decode, FT8. All in the same tab.
300Bd HF Packet is still alive and I’m loving it!

📡 wfweb now does AX.25 packet — connected-mode QSOs from the browser, at 300/1200/9600 baud.
Fully headless rig control: SSB, CW, FT8/FT4, FreeDV, RADE, and now AX.25, all from any browser.
Native Linux/Windows/macOS + Docker.

Tried wfweb by @k1fm on my iPhone while on the road. Nice to see the responsive web layout adapting for the phone browser. Frequency tuning a bit tricky by swiping the waterfall (lower spectrum bandwidth helps). All in all very cool to work my station from a phone. 😊
Added FreeDV + RADE to wfweb—Digital Voice on HF now runs entirely in-browser.
Robust decode and surprisingly clean audio at very low SNR. No more soundcard routing, VACs, or local codec builds.
Runs on macOS, Linux, Windows, or Docker.

No VNC. No remote desktop. Just open a browser and operate your IC-7300 - FT8, CW, SSB. Runs anywhere Docker runs.
