Türkiye's new internet rules take effect on 1 November. If people in Türkiye can use your platform, here's what Law 7578 and the implementing Regulation change. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬: ➡️ Under-15s can't be served, and parental consent doesn't change that. ➡️ Age is checked through e-Devlet when an account is created. A self-declared birthday isn't enough. ➡️ 15 to 17 year olds get an age-appropriate experience, parents get controls, and users can appeal age decisions to a human. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬: ➡️ Every game needs an age rating. ➡️ Parents need controls over account settings and purchases. ➡️ Foreign platforms with more than 100,000 daily accesses from Türkiye need a local representative. ➡️ One more thing to check: "social network" is defined broadly. A game with chat, player profiles or user-generated content may count.
