Gigantic meta analysis of a massive research area. Can't imagine the amount of work and care this took! Glad two folks, #evanweingarten & @DanSchley , are crazy enough to take this on!

Really cool recent research by @katechristens and @ProfShu about how a seller’s heritage connection affects their behavior in the resale market. To quote Kate, who quoted William Faulkner: ‘The past is never dead. It’s not even past.’
A new Journal of Marketing Research study shows how sellers accept lower prices on items when the buyer demonstrates a connection with them, having fascinating implications for markets that involve #resale.

What's the ideal range of the y-axis?
Cool paper by @JessiWittPhD compellingly argues against common recommendation to show the full range of the outcome variable on the y-axis.
Instead, center the graph on the grand mean and extend the y-axis .75SDs in either direction. [1/5]

A cohort-based analysis of 1,000 individuals in Chicago suggests that social change – changes in policing strategies, technology use, peer conflict – may explain decreasing offender rates better than individual-based predictors of crime. In PNAS: ow.ly/FQu250FESY2

Coding is more about communicating than computing.
New data: the best predictor of how quickly people learned to code wasn't math or cognitive ability, but language aptitude.
Math skill was almost irrelevant. Coding is mastering a language, not numbers.
