We were surprised to see the graphic novel LITTLE ROCK NINE on the FLDOE survey results for removed books in Wakulla Schools. We reached out for documentation on the removal, and this is what we received this morning. Segregation & Brown v. BOE are taught in grade 4.

Congratulations to Hannah Westcott & Julian Bingham for their recognition as Sheehan's recipients of the CT Association of Schools Arts Awards. All CAS Arts awards recipients were honors at the Aqua Turf recently for their accomplishments in the areas of art and music.

If we could, like, NOT bring back the Hays Code, that would be swell. Thanks!

New: A Florida school district with 48 schools hosting 50,000+ students just released a new list of books to be removed from all libraries. The list ranges from Khaled Hosseini's "The Kite Runner," to Sarah J. Maas's "A Court of Thorns and Roses" series. newrepublic.com/post/170436/…

If Florida, teachers are advised to hide their books to avoid felony charges. At one school, “the kids began crying and writing letters to the principal, saying, ‘Please don’t take my books, please don’t do this.’” washingtonpost.com/education…

I read a book to students today. Come get me @GovRonDeSantis. I’ll defend the teachers and school with every dime I have. Your unconstitutional suppression won’t win.

This could be the best use of public records laws I've seen. @BrettMmurphy stumbled upon a fmr small town cop sowing his own junk science into justice system. So he tracked him thru his email chats w/prosecutors & cops nationwide. Damning and so bonkers. propublica.org/article/911-c…

Without a C-section, I would have died. My son would have died. These women need to sit down.

THE APARTMENT (1960). For years & years, all I've heard is how great this movie is, you gotta watch it, blah blah blah. So I finally sit down to actually watch the damn thing. If anything, people have undersold it. Perfect script, perfect performances, perfect film.

There it is — Cory Booker's loud "aye" is the 60th vote. The Senate passes same-sex marriage protections, a backstop should the Supreme Court overturn Obergefell, and a direct reaction to Clarence Thomas' concurrence in Dobbs where he called on the Court to revisit the precedent
