I used to think that if I had a clone to help with my game, it would be great.
but now I have a feeling if I took myself on this day from the last + next 3 years and brought them to now, we would all kill eachother. this has lead to great anxiety and im planning for it.

Saw the ending of the game in playable form for the first time today and it gave me goosebumps. I'm so incredibly excited to see this story finished.
the game is finally playable from start to finish. after like. two and a half years. 45% of it was actually done in the past 7-8 months. i think its really good, too.
this feeling doesn't feel real at all.
the use of "uninvited" by mad planets in the demo was deeply inspired by that needle drop in pen pals. you know the one. i really need to revisit that game, its been slowly creeping its way back into my mind.
put together an outline for something really special, I think. when I make a story i try to surround myself with it and get immersed (so I can find the feelings better), and I ended up getting really scared at the scary parts and ill at the emotional parts.
its my birthday! not to be sappy, but ive been so happy it's unreal.
this past year ive met/spent time with so many people who have completely changed my perspective on art and friendship and brought the best out of me.
im forever grateful to all of my friends. thanks again.
these will be more frequent going forward, next one will most likely be on november!

ive been viewing certain games as time capulses. sometimes a game is a screenshot of someone at a certain time, and they were willing to go through the hell of gamedev to let it be seen. this is a process more intimate than love. it really excites me!
i have 2,000+ txt files of notes, all in a folder since late 2021. i aggressively catalogue everything. ive walked out of events to write down scenes, feelings, visuals, thoughts, etc. david lynch was not kidding about the forgetting thing.
how sustainable it is to dedicate your existence to creating art that makes you feel like puking 24/7 (when you're not a miserable french film director)
