This is a good explanation of the triple lock. I think it should go as it’s ridiculous to have our sovereign decisions second guessed by China, Russia, USA. It is bizarre to believe that any Irish government would lightly send Irish troops on overseas missions. All governments are averse to risking the lives of their military.

Replying to @MaryLouMcDonald
FACT CHECK: the Triple Lock is not neutrality. It's a 1960 amendment to the Defence Acts governing overseas deployments. Neutrality appears nowhere in the Constitution and has never been written into Irish law at all
Amending an Act requires no referendum. #IrishDefenceThoughts
I welcome the confirmation from DCC parking enforcement section of a new approach and zoning for parking enforcement in the city, zones 1-4 represents more residential areas. In these zones the focus of enforcement will be on illegal parking and complaints.
Extremely heavy rainfall with severe flooding on the Northside of Dublin yet an orange warning is issued during the course of it. @MetEireann 🤷♂️
Another awful tragedy may they rest in peace.
In 7 years as a Councillor I’ve never had many reports of attempted car thefts and burglary’s, this appears out of control with major reforms of JLO system and consequences for U18’s involved in criminality quickly needed.
A number of people have died and at least four others have been seriously injured after a two-car crash on the M9 at Moone, Co Kildare

Student of the year, Class of 2026 🫡
Today was one of those days you never expect to come so quick. From my first day walking into school not knowing anyone, to walking out with friendships and memories thatll last a lifetime.
Throughoit my time in school I hit some of my highest and lowest points, I spent my time trying to fit in where I didn’t and surrounding myself with the wrong people, mixing that with isolation from covid lockdowns made it all the harder - Arguably, this has shaped me to the person I am today, and is a reason I am so passionate about treating others with respect, this is a trait I will forever hold.
Over time I found what I truly enjoyed, Aviation, something that I grew up surrounded by - I started this account in 3rd year, It was something I kept secret from those around me as I posted about aviation sharing what knowledge I did have, little did I know I would have many of my teachers keeping up to date through my content😂😂
I can’t wait to get into the world of aviation, safe to say as soon as I wrap up the Leaving Certificate ill be shooting applications all directions at Dublin Airport (thats is no job snatches me up before I can go apply to places🤪)
Anyways I’m off on the gargle now so don’t expect any updates tonight🥸
