Be sure to check out his new book. @ashnallawalla recently published his "12 Habits of Successful SEOs" and was kind enough to get my feedback on each of the twelve habits. See my responses in Appendix 2 of the book.

It always fascinated me how inept at SEO Google's non-SEO teams were/are. What mistakes do you see in Google Ads robots.txt file?

This is IMPORTANT SEO TWITTER: this guy is posting his secrets in programmatic SEO, monster thread. 500+ likes on the first tweet, lots of traction. Here's the problem: it's absolutely fucking stupid, beginner level crazy, by someone with zero understanding of SEO 🧵

12-hour days. Skipped vacations. Total loyalty. Result? Burnout + forced resignation. This isn’t just bad bosses — it’s corporate feudalism. We can rebuild work to be fairer + freer. 🖼️ Join the conversation. #WorkLife #LaborRights linkedin.com/pulse/we-living…

A day of gun violence: yet another school shooting just before the Charlie Kirk shooting. Is it any wonder countries are encouraging their people to stay clear of the U.S.? It's a damned shame that we absolutely refuse to have a civil conversation about guns in America.

I've said it before, but corporations really don't value loyalty - either in their employees or their customers. @madebygoogle sent out this offer for the Pixel 4 watch. $350 trade-in allowance, but only for current Apple Watch owners. Pixel owners? $140.

I'm going to say it again: With the rise of GenAI, Technical SEO Product Managers and Technical SEOs in general, are going to be in high demand. There are not enough qualified professionals to keep with the demand currently rising on the market. Every time I interview people for Technical SEO roles—and I've extensively helped build in-house teams for mid to large businesses—, less than 5% makes the cut; and I've experienced and received reports from colleagues saying it can take 6 months to a year to find a qualified professional with these skills. If your business has a skilled Technical SEO Product Manager, I'd suggest you make sure they're willing to stay around for a while. It's going to be a fun poaching game to watch. Some businesses haven't realised yet they need these professionals, and these are going to be the ones playing catch-up for a while.

I've decided to be brutally honest w/these recruiters who reach out to me with opportunities that have insultingly low rates. Perhaps if I was in my 20s, living in a shared low-cost apartment, & ust starting out in SEO I would consider it. Calibrate your expectations, recruiters.
