🚨 Raphinha on Anthony Gordon after Barcelona’s 7-2 win over Racing: “After the game I saw Gordon sitting there. Everyone was celebrating and he was just watching the pitch, very quiet. I went over and said, ‘Anthony, you okay?’ He said, ‘Yeah. I was just thinking how good we were today. Seven goals, everybody contributing. I’m watching this and thinking, what do I need to add to my game to get into this team?’ I liked that answer. I told him, ‘Then you’re thinking correctly. Don’t look at Raphinha, Lamine, Adeyemi or whoever plays and think somebody has to come out for you. Look at the level and ask yourself how you can make Hansi unable to leave you out.’ Hansi has so many attacking options. One game you play 90, another you play 20, another you might watch all of it. That’s Barcelona. Gordon understands that. I told him, ‘You think Hansi brought you here to decorate the bench? Your minutes will come. Just make sure when they come, you give him another problem.’ Because in a team playing like this, you don’t complain about the competition. You raise your level to join it. You need to make Hansi regret every minute he doesn’t give you.’”
