Cancer update: I still have it 😆 Colonoscopy coming up on Monday (Nov 9) at Tucson Medical Center/TMC. Five bucks says they'll find potato salad when they go looking up there. Laproscopic surgery Tuesday (Nov 10). Removal of lymph nodes and some additional colon. Thank you to so many of you that have wished me well, offered prayers and support, and have been kind to me. As you can imagine, this has been difficult so far and it's likely to get more difficult in the coming days. I have asked myself if this is all worth it, but you've made me feel like you want me around a little longer so I'm trying not to die. Thank you as well for the financial support. I have approximately $11k in bills (so far) that insurance did not cover. A number of you have helped me with that (about $3,500) and I am very grateful. I'll be off work next week while this stuff goes on and I have a hospital stay at TMC's main campus. Here's hoping this goes as well as it can. --Ken

Patrick Stewart, a.k.a. Captain Jean Luc Picard of Star Trek The Next Generation, has died at age 86 of Alzheimers and Lewy Body Dementia. He had has last beam up from the planet surface

Donnie Iris, whose biggest hit “Ah Leah” plays on The Drive Tucson, has died at age 83

Walter Koenig, who played Commander Chekov on the original Star Trek series, has died at age 90. He's been permanently beamed up from the planet surface.

Tonight was my last night working at Roadies. I decided to resign since I am getting surgery soon and chemo after that. I can do radio shows and run Whats Up Tucson from home if I don’t feel well, but I can’t do that at Roadies. So, resigning made sense at this time. I started at Roadies when they opened in March 2025 and it’s been an enjoyable year and a half working in the axe room. I’m sad but I think I made the right choice. Thank you to everyone at Roadies for the opportunity to work with you. There are some amazing people who work there. I’ll miss you.

Oct 15, 2026 Cancer update: Still have it 😂 Had a visit to a cardiologist this morning to get cleared for the next cancer related surgery that is coming in mid-November. All good, I was cleared. The cardiologist did tell me to start taking a baby aspirin daily. Hopefully that will make me look younger. Or I might start getting urges to suck my thumb. Thank you's to those that have thrown a few bucks my way. I have approx $10k worth of bills so far that I'm responsible for. I'll be making payments for a while on some, was able to pay one off thanks to the $3k you've donated. Thank you. It's difficult and expensive attempting to stay alive.
