Roy Cooper: I've stood up to my own party on numerous occasions throughout my career if I disagreed with them. I'm going to put the people first. Look, I'll work with this President when I can. I did that as Governor. He appointed me to his opioid commission, and I worked with him on disaster relief and on other issues. But I will stand up to him when I need to.

State practices vary as to whether to give DOJ monitors full access to polling places or other election facilities."
