The Holy Father expresses his belief in the right and the duty of citizens to participate in democratic processes.”
The statement follows reports that Leo had requested a postal ballot for the US midterm elections on Nov. 3.
This is first known instance of a pope voting in a country’s secular election.

-Instead of the "Consecration" of an Altar, the New Rite "Dedicates" the Altar
-Instead of lighting incense directly on the Altar, incense is put in a pot on top of the Altar
-After the lighting of incense on the Altar, the Bishop no longer sings the Veni Sancte Spiritus (Come Holy Ghost)
-Schola no longer sings Antiphons referencing the "Altar of the Temple"
-Bishop no longer makes specific sacrificial prayers after the lighting of incense, which call the Altar a "burnt-offering" and ask that the "offerings made" on the Altar be acceptable to God
-Instead, in the New Rite, after lighting incense on the Altar, the Bishop censes the congregation and asks that the "Light of Christ" be "reflected by those who share at this Table"
