MAN : I sold the gold passed down from my grandmother and great-grandmother to buy an iPhone 18 Pro Max for my wife. 🤯
REPORTER : What? 😱
MAN : Yes. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is more important than any gold.
He sold the gold not for a house, his child’s future, or an investment, but to gift his wife an iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Naukri was launched on April 1, 1997. Today is the 28th anniversary of the launch of the first internet business at Info Edge. Indiamart was launched a year earlier on April 1, 1996 and Makemytrip three years later on April 1, 2000 if I remember correctly. It is Makemytrip’s twenty fifth anniversary - congratulations @Naukri @IndiaMART @makemytrip

I’m heading to Delhi next week and while booking my stay, I came across Treels on MakeMyTrip.

It’s amazing to see Indian companies go global. Decade of India!
Came across this article on MMT , 150+ countries for an online travel platform born in India is really big! I think that's what differentiates leader brands from rest. They lay low, work hard and sustain dominance for decades. Reliance, MakeMyTrip, Tatas, Godrej.....Indian companies are no less than any global player today!

Good to hear PM Modi Ji saying that we will be the 3rd largest economy in next 5 years. our per capita will still be below many countries incl Bangladesh.
GDP is a vanity metric like GMV, the real metric is profitability or per capita income here
We will remain a poor country.
