Mind you Marty's mother is the embodiment of who he is. She is literally scamming/trying to emotionally manipulate him at the start of the film. They are all FLAWED characters. The idea that characters who do bad things or are flawed = bad movie is hilarious.

Hope he stays playing diverse characters. Villains, assholes, horror, complex and nuance characters with the once in a while wholesome ones and never box himself in as an actor like these weirdos want him to. Man can't even do his job anymore. It's so bizarre.

I swear I've NEVER seen a bunch of people want to BOX an actor into something so bad just so they can project unto him. It's WEIRD! and yet they'll be the same fools to say he plays the same character. No he doesn't. And I'm GLAD he doesn't. Hope he keeps going against that.

I don't think I loved it. It made me kinda depressed and there were moments I'm still trying to figure out what inarritu was trying to say even if I might have some vague ideas. Great shots though. And the sets too. Shout out to the set designers. But wow.

Really liked it. But it was depressing in a very real way. Think it's going to be a while before I see it again. And I actually think it's important for a lot of pple to see it. Then again with how media literacy is dead not sure what they'll take from it soo...
