MSNOW: What is your message now to Jewish voters nationally and what you will do to protect them?
Abdul El-Sayed: I’m committed to Jewish safety, and we are united against discrimination. The U.S. spends billions to carry out genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. The genocide in Gaza with our complicity is continuing right now. Nobody wants to talk about that.

Abdul El-Sayed: “Right now we’re aiding, arming, and abetting a government that has been dead set on foreclosing on the possibility of Palestinian self-determination. We subsidized a genocide with our tax dollars that should be spent here. I want our tax dollars spent here”
El-Sayed: None of this matters. You know what matters? There are families who are preparing to send their kids to schools tomorrow that look like they did 50 years ago. They're worried about what they're going to feed their kids for lunch. They're worried that if one of their kids gets sick, they're not going to be able to pay the bills. Those are the things that matter.

Julian Casablancas named the "privilege of Zionists living in the United States" as one of his "most controversial takes" during an appearance on SubwayTakes with Kareem Rahma.
"Well it's been nice having a career: American Zionists get the benefits of white privileged people, but talk like they are Black people during slavery...
"Just for the people that are going to be like, 'Hamas, October 7th.' Um, yes, bad. But Native American rebellions didn't mean it was okay to do what we did. Slave rebellions that were violent didn't mean that slavery is not bad. So, that's the scope of that answer. Just for the haters.
"Indoctrination is such a strong thing. We just want to be part of the tribe... So I get it, but it is a sad fact the brainwashing of just people in general. You can't be mad just because something was rammed down their throat, necessarily."

The Strokes used their Coachella set to show CIA coups and Gaza footage. They’ll probably never be invited back, and they knew it.

It is very easy to become accustomed to Trump’s ravings, and laugh them off. That’s a dangerous thing to do.
When Trump states: “A whole civilization will die tonight,” he is threatening to commit genocide.
We can’t allow that to happen. Congress must end this war NOW.

Once upon a time, labels had marketing plans that went beyond ‘make more TikTok’s’. They invested in their bands. It made you care about these artists for more than 15 minutes. A large reason staying power has died out for most musicians? Labels aren’t pulling their weight.
