مریم بابایی معلم محبوب بازنشسته پس از 30 سال آموزش خواندن و نوشتن به نسل‌های مختلفی از هفت ساله‌های این آب و خاک، تازه سه سال بود که فرصت یافته بود استراحت کند.
قلب مهربانش را به تازگی جراحی کرده بود و در ایام نقاهت، مهمان منزل دخترش شده بود.

حمید سعیدی، کارمند زندان اوین، اصالتا اهل شهرستان سرخه در استان سمنان بود. او پدر یک خانواده بود. تصویری از او برجا مانده که دختر کوچکش را در آغوش گرفته و رو به دوربین می‌خندد. دختر کوچولویی که حالا برای همیشه از تکیه‌گاه امن خودش محروم شده است.
