This reaction is proving my point for me btw This is the exact abuse and cop-like behaviour that gets hcws labelled like as cops You are one of them (a hcw), that’s why you got respect instead of the treatment Joyce Echaquan got 👀🚩 #MedicalMisogyny #MedicalRacism #HCW #ACAB

I’m also a chronically ill, chronic pain patient who just spent nearly a quarter of a month in the hospital as a patient. Do you know how many nurses were rude to me? 1. Out of the ≈80 nurses I dealt with that I can remember, there was ONE nurse who was less than polite.

Tell that to Joyce Echaquan She died while livestreaming 🇨🇦 nurses hurling racist abuse at her #MedicalRacism #MedicalMisogyny
Nurses ≠ cops. We don’t beat our patients. We can hardly get orders for adequate pain+anxiety meds, or effective sleeping medication. Nurses only have so much they can do; they have their hands tied by admin & shit staffing ratios. You have no idea what you’re talking about

Did it ever occur to you that as a hcw yourself, you were treated better by nurses than the rest of us? 🙃

Nurses have body shamed me, laughed at me, and medically neglected & abused me since I was a child A ‘lack of politeness’ 🙃 That’s why the surgical nurse mocked me for having hair on my toes at age 12, and continued tearing out staples while I bled. Just following orders 👀🚩

Did you ever consider that what you perceive as a “lack of politeness” is just someone trying to get their job done, because they have a lot of shit left to do, and they don’t have the time or spoons to make small talk? Because I guarantee that’s likely it.

Idle No More was a picnic to what’s about to blow. Cold fucking winter without natural gas, electricity and food. All those things pass through some Rez on the way to the cities. Just saying….
I'm not sure most Canadians realize what's happening right now with Indigenous folks and the Carney government. Today, voice after voice from Indigenous leadership, youth, from across the country, has been telling us they're gearing up for a fight for their rights. This is big!

Water and housing. They are fighting this. That alone should tell you who you voted for. And what you voted for. Do people believe this isn't going to blow up eventually? And I think our own know that we have nothing to lose if we fight for our rights. All has been stolen now.🪶
Two landmark decisions from 2025 ruled Canada has a legal obligation to provide clean drinking water and adequate housing to remote First Nations. The nation is now appealing both and APTN’s Kyler Minshull was in court today to listen in on day one. youtu.be/lCiuxNVWlF0

This is exactly the problem AI does not work, it hallucinates. It spits out slop and you don’t care AI is actually causing ppl to d/ie and #OntEd here @MikeJToronto says there is nothing wrong with teachers using AI #TumblerRidge #Finland #ChatGPT #SARSCoV2 #OnPoli #CanPoli
It's not an issue for staff use. If it helps us do our jobs, it's no different than collaborating with a colleague, which we do all the time. But the job of a student is to learn, which requires them to experience "creative struggle" and do their own work - they can't outsource.

I tell this to every medical resident I meet when I go to doctors and so far none of them have heard of it. I hope medical schools will be teaching this now. It’s such an easy way to relieve so much suffering and prevent death.
