Nexus.
A visual and motion design language for Frame.io.
Executed entirely in-house by our brand team.
Despite the comments, this is actually really good advice.
Everyone is taking issue with the tone of Dan’s post, but I haven’t seen a valid counterpoint to what he’s actually recommending. Dan is just saying the quiet part out loud… and it’s true.
No, I won’t check out your portfolio.
Here’s why.
Anytime you ask someone to do something, it’s a pitch. In a pitch, say what’s in it for the other person.
What’s in it for me to check out your portfolio? Why would I spend my time, energy, and attention—all of which I value highly—on that as opposed to anywhere else?
If there’s nothing in it for me, then you’re asking for charity.
If you’re asking for charity, then ask for charity. Make it clear. I like doing favors sometimes and being charitable sometimes. But I can’t tell if that’s what you’re asking for, and I won’t assume it.
Even if I agreed to it, you haven’t even given me any criteria. Is there something specific you want help with? Something to improve? Something you’re stuck on? Some job it’s not doing?
General questions get general answers. Specific questions get specific answers.
Since I don’t know what you want help with and there doesn’t seem to be much incentive for me, it’s a pass.
Here are some examples of pitches I would consider more (even if I’d still say no):
“Dan, would you be willing to do me a favor and review my portfolio to help me land a design job working on a U.S.-based team for a fintech startup?”
“Dan, can you please review my portfolio to see if the UI design work feels closer to junior or senior caliber? I’ll make a donation to your favorite non-profit as a token of thanks.”
“Dan, would you mind looking at my portfolio to see if I’m the kind of person you’d hire? I know you value your time, attention, and energy, so I’d gladly take any feedback you can provide after looking for even 30 seconds.”
@odeniransulaimo, wanna pitch again? I’m open to you trying again if you’d like.
But even better: pitch someone who’s in a closer position to help you get what you want. If you want a job at a sports betting startup, pitch a hiring manager at a sports betting startup to check out your portfolio. Even if they won’t hire you for THEIR startup, their feedback would be way more relevant to getting a job at a sports betting startup than my feedback would be, since I’ve never worked at a sport betting startup.
In short, when you pitch, make it about them and make it as easy as possible for them to give you what you want.
It’s early. But this is going to be big.
Congrats @fejes713 and team!
Preview has raised $12M in funding to date, led by @sequoia with participation from @thegp and @farooqib.
AI video is now part of how real productions get made. What professional work requires hasn't changed: scripts, shot lists, versions, reviews, deliveries, and a clear record of how every frame was made.
Preview is the professional platform where AI video production runs. Producers, directors, and artists planning, generating, reviewing, and delivering together, from first idea to editor handover.
Studios already run real work on Preview: commercial productions for Fortune 100 brands, and some of the first hybrid films with Oscar-winning talent, arriving on streaming platforms later this year.
3,000 studios are on the waitlist. We're letting the next ones in now.

Introducing the new MagicPath visual editor.
Drag, resize, duplicate, and make precise edits inside your fully functional app or website, not a static mock.
No other AI apps editor can do this on a fully live product.
You're designing with code without even knowing it.

Introducing MagicPath 2.0.
MagicPath is now a multiplayer canvas for humans and agents like Codex or Claude Code to design and build with AI.
Use your codebase, grab data from anywhere, and see the agents work in real time as a team while building fully functional prototypes.

Introducing Figma Connect.
The best way to turn your Figma designs into code.
No MCP hell. No plugins.
Just copy and paste your designs into MagicPath and turn them into interactive prototypes without compromising your craft.

Today is my last day at @Adobe and @Frame_io
I’ll miss the team dearly.
I’m very proud of what we built together, but one thing I’ve learned is that software changes fast. It evolves, gets rebuilt, and eventually becomes something entirely new. Our work is naturally ephemeral, but the part that lasts is the people and relationships. I feel lucky to have had the chance to work with such a special team.
As for what’s next, I’ll be exploring and tinkering until I find something that feels right. I’m excited to build openly.
More to share soon ✌️
Yo! I’ll be speaking at @forum_tokyo in February—an intimate design gathering for builders.
Only 50 people. Super small.
Given the setting, I'm planning for real talk. I'll be saying the quiet part out loud :)
Come hang with us.
This @usedarkroom app icon is everything.
