Enjoyed learning more about Carl Yung last night from @SeedTalks at Liverpool. I always love finding out links between psychology and philosophy ideas.

Over the summer at @EPSLiverpool we have been taking the time to think about our assessments with bilingual/multilingual children in our casework. I’m wondering what #twitterEPs would consider as their usual go to tool or method (I understand this will be case dependant)?

What a week of finals, finishing placement and uni teaching! I have my eyes closed on this pic (as per usual) to hide the tears cos it's all ending. I have absolutely LOVED training at Sheffield and sharing the experience with this lovely lot! And thanks to Becky for this gift 🩷

Take a moment to think about how different generations were raised:
Silent Generation (1928-1945): Radio, Print media
Baby Boomers (1946-1964): Television, Print media
Generation X (1965-1980): Television, Early Computers, Internet
Millennials/Gen Y (1981-1996): Internet, Mobile Technology, Social Media
Gen Z (1997-2012): Internet, Mobile Technology, Social Media, Streaming Services
Gen Alpha (2013-present): Smartphones, Apps, Al Technology, Streaming Services.
I predict Al will be what raises kids more and more in the next 20 years. I think we have almost no idea what this means-yet. But I predict this: loneliness and a desire for a real messy relationship, but a hard time tolerating such a relationship.

My version of a “feelings wheel” aimed at helping to notice how we can avoid & struggle to name emotional feelings by describing conclusions/narrative beliefs (outer layer), other’s actions (next layer), embodying feelings without words, & using vague language (middle layers)…

Thanks to EY and year 1 teaching staff at @RunnymedeStEd for having me and @epsbt in school to facilitate a workshop on ‘a persistent desire for autonomy’ to reframe the narratives around PDA. Great discussions had by everyone on our own avoidance that we experience. #twitterEPS
