A whistleblower with files, can be believed only in death, even when such files laid out date by date and document by document, for the newsrooms that chose silence

The results suggest support for the ANC has declined significantly since the 2021 Local Government Elections. The party has historically strengthened support during final stages of election campaigns. ipsos.com/en-za/nationally-n…

Forensic investigator Paul O’Sullivan has threatened urgent court action to block the appointment of KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi as the new national head of the Hawks.
O’Sullivan warned acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia that his organisation, Forensics for Justice, would challenge the appointment unless government suspends the process or opens it to public scrutiny.

Accepting leadership in MK is sending yourself to the guillotine, same as black professional taking positions at troubled state entities or departments.

DEAR MEDIA COLLEAGUES: BELIEVE WHISTLEBLOWER
I had thought colleagues in the media would jump on a story like this one.
I have written this to all Media Colleagues who report on corruption but have chosen silence on corruption that clumps to 15 Million and over, verified by documents not produced by me.
I have written this not for myself but many whistle blowers who die and cannot speak loud like me.
It won’t happen like that.
It’s not a status you get conferred nor is it one that can be taken away.
Replying to @lEsethuHasane
Hoping that no one will come declaring that you've lost the protected disclosures status. Corruption is evil & should be tested/exposed.
Doing a full opinion piece on this.
ON MEDIA AND MY COLLEAGUES THERE 👀
I imagine that many colleagues in the media, most of whom I trusted, would have come online appalled and shocked if I had died for reporting corruption that has been confirmed and corroborated by a Chapter 9 institution.
They made the story about me, and their doubts on my self, not about the millions of Rands I stopped from being looted.
I won't lie: I have been deeply disappointed and shocked. That's why I appreciate @eNCA, @SABCNews, @_SMWX and many others who gave me a voice when I spoke out.
I have said before that the reporting on Palestine by many American news outlets killed my respect for many journalists, especially at CNN. How could they be so partisan and indifferent to such war crimes?
I hope that when the Bowmans investigation is complete, which was instituted based on my report and where I am the main and only complainant, they don't feign support and report it, having ignored an entire Chapter 9 institution and a case file opened by the SAPS Hawks after they assessed what I reported and indicated it was corruption that should be investigated.
Why they ignored it instead of reporting it is best explained by @BabaloNdenze, who expressed shock that I had reported corruption instead of being corrupted. @ewnupdates and its journalists ignored the story entirely. This showed me what may have been discussed in the newsroom. I think EWN, particularly because of Ndenze's tweet, believes being a whistleblower is a self-proclaimed title. They asked why I was calling myself one without reading the PDA policy.
I asked a colleague at EWN whom I had worked with at Sales whether the silence was because they feared losing business from Transport, and I asked a great broadcaster the same. Both responded that news coverage is not decided by sales.
That is how a whistleblower is treated while alive rather than dead: people doubt you even when you have documents that prove it.
Here is a story of established R13 million corruption, verified by documents, and one of the biggest anti-corruption broadcasters ignored it.
I have a theory about why. I won't state it.
No one owes me a story. That's why I can speak for myself.
But I doubt everyone would have kept quiet if I had died, or if I do. This matter is still going to be big. People will be arrested, and I will be sitting behind them in court.

Yoh, HAI, MAN! A UNIVERSITY is raising LGBTQ flags, and we're supposed to accept that this is what progress looks like? I'm sorry, but when did sexuality become such a defining feature of public life that institutions feel the need to advertise their position on it?
When is Women's Month, where is this same enthusiasm for women? Where are the flags? Where is the urgency? Why does LGBTQ visibility seem to demand so much public attention, while other issues affecting society don't always receive the same spectacle?
I'm tired of a world where everything must be politicised, every institution must make a statement, and every identity must be publicly affirmed to prove that we're progressing.
A university has students struggling with tuition, unemployment waiting beyond graduation, and serious questions about the future they're preparing for. Yet here we are, putting up flags.
Proof of Whistle-blowing to some of my media colleagues is a body with a gun on the head at a mortuary and reports live from a funeral eNgqeleni.
Why should I be believed why I am still waking.
I thank @KatyKatopodis for hearing^ me, affirming me, and cooling^ me down when I called her to note and register my suspension as yet another example of whistle blower suspension, based on false allegations that I reported the media to the media.
It is self an attack on media freedom - the Media, is a recognized platform by multiple court judgements to whistle-blow through.
I did not even take the matter to the media until the department did.
I appreciated everyone who did not say I am mad, or crazy even though I carry multiple documents from AGSA now, with a Hawks open file.
I have a platform, I have proximity, I have over a decade of experience in the media and have studied public policy to now a PhD level at South Africa’s number 1 and 2 public institutions.
If whistleblowers see that such a person acting within the law doesn’t get supported: who will come up and fight against their employer who has obviously chosen to side with the accused and harass the reporter of wrong doing ?
I am indebted to @tebogokhaas of @propublicaSA , he was immediate with help, he cooled me down. His believe in my story did not need to be confirmed by many documents I have - he knew the treatment people in my position face and offered full and unconditional support.
We need WhistleBlowers to be believed, not doubted, now one wants a tittle that puts a target on their back, that comes with so much mental health issues, financial problems, family stress and other many pains, which includes being suspended for charges that amongst them are to report corruption.
One of my friends asked me why I reported this - and I responded that, I get the sense some people do not believe me.
So I print what is established factually and documented information.
