Ever had your internet drop and then had no way to prove when it happened or how long it lasted?
That’s what got us into this.
For the #AvaloniaPortChallenge, we took WirePeep, Bill Menees’ open-source network monitor, and rebuilt it as Synups.
From a Windows/WPF app to @AvaloniaUI + .NET, running on Windows, macOS, and Linux
Synups sends real ICMP pings, shows response times and peer status live, and never guesses when the result is unknown.
It records confirmed incidents, recovery, comments, and history that survives a restart and lets you export the evidence to CSV.
Know when your network drops. Know how long it lasts. Keep the evidence.

Finding a scholarship is one thing. Knowing whether you qualify, what you still need, and how to keep track of your applications is another.
That’s why I built GrantPath 🎓
A scholarship discovery and application tracking platform designed to help students move from searching for opportunities to taking the next step.
Here’s what you can do with it 👇
⇒ Discover scholarships by country, study level, funding type, and field of study.
⇒ Understand eligibility requirements, see what matches your profile, and identify what still needs confirmation.
⇒ Check official sources instead of relying on vague scholarship descriptions.
⇒ Save opportunities, add private notes, organize required documents, and track application progress.
I used @Test_Sprite to test real user journeys against the deployed app.
One test caught a bug where removing Ghana from a study profile left the old residence saved. The required GitHub check blocked the merge until the issue was fixed.
That’s the kind of feedback I wanted: not just a working demo, but testing that can catch real problems.

A follow-up to my GrantPath build 🎓
The goal remains simple: help students find scholarships and manage their applications with more confidence.
In my last post, I shared how I used @Test_Sprite to test GrantPath and catch a real bug before it could be merged.
Beyond that, I tested key user journeys across:
⇒ Scholarship discovery and eligibility
⇒ Profiles and saved opportunities
⇒ Application tracking and notifications
⇒ Privacy and API access controls
I wanted to go beyond simply integrating an AI testing tool. I wanted to see how it could help verify real user workflows and improve confidence in the application.
Building a product is one thing. Making sure its important user journeys work as expected is another.
Thanks @Test_Sprite for being part of the journey!

PARTNER PASSPORT : LET YOUR WORK INTRODUCE YOU
You’ve shared products, participated in campaigns, and helped drive sales. Give that work a place people can see.
Spoke’s Partner Passport brings your campaign history and settled referral contributions into one shareable profile, with receipts people can inspect.
For distributors, it’s a way to show your track record. For merchants, it’s useful context when choosing someone to work with. Build your record as you participate, and choose whether to make your profile discoverable.

some influencers make it exhausting to be a designer,
and honestly, it’s becoming a concern for the industry.
you post a campaign asking designers to redesign an AI-generated image.
designers put in their time, creativity, and skills to come up with something better.
they submit their work, hoping to win the promised reward and get some recognition.
then you show up in the comments, complaining about almost every submission.
at the end of the day, nobody gets chosen.
so, what was the point of the campaign in the first place?
are all the designers suddenly bad at their jobs, or was the campaign just another way to farm engagement without any real intention of rewarding anyone?
this reminds me of the Roobet campaign posted by @DylanGG, where $250 was the promised reward, yet, as I understand it, no designer ended up receiving it.
that's not just disappointing. It sends the wrong message to an entire creative industry.
design is work.
creativity takes time.
and behind every submission is someone investing their skills, energy, and valuable hours.
if you don't intend to reward the work, don't use a design competition to attract engagement.
and if none of the submissions meets your expectations, communicate clearly, provide constructive feedback, and be transparent about what happens next.
designers deserve more than empty promises and exposure.
I hope we get to a point where designers are given the proper platforms, respect, and recognition they deserve.
designers, have you ever participated in a campaign where the promised reward never materialized?
and influencers, do you think these campaigns genuinely support designers, or are some people simply exploiting their creativity for engagement?

We just shipped a big update to Selo: it's now a release gate for x402.
Before you ship a paid endpoint, Selo pays it once on @Algorand Mainnet like a real customer, checks the payment and the response, and returns PASS, FAIL or INCONCLUSIVE with both transactions as proof.
What's new:
• The selo CLI, with exit codes your CI can trust
• Signed verdicts anyone can verify offline
• A GitHub Action that only promotes a release with a signed PASS
We ran it on a demo merchant: health check green, payment settled, but the paid response was broken. Selo failed it and the gate blocked the deploy. Then it passed the fix.
So this is a call to every dev building endpoints on x402: run Selo on yours before your users find the bugs.
How to use it:
1. Authorize your route (free): run selo auth create, then serve the token it gives you at /.well-known/selo-verification.txt
2. Preflight (free): checks your 402, network, asset and price before anything is paid
3. Write a contract.json: the status, content type and JSON schema your paid response should return
4. Run the test: 1 USDC per run. Selo pays your endpoint's price itself (up to 0.50 USDC)
Works with Algorand Mainnet USDC, GET and POST.

Selo can now stop a release. 🛑
Until now, Selo paid your x402 endpoint like a real customer and handed you a report. Now its verdict decides whether your release ships.
Here’s what’s new 🧵
1. The selo CLI:
One command in your release pipeline. You pay Selo 1 USDC over x402. Once that settles, Selo pays your endpoint, runs five checks and returns a verdict.
Exit 0 = PASS, ship it. Anything else (FAIL, not proven, refused) blocks the release.
2. GitHub Action:
Your deploy runs only after a PASS. Live on Algorand Mainnet, against a demo shop:
•broken-v1: paid, 200 OK, but the receipt is missing a field → FAIL, deploy blocked
•fixed-v2, same URL: all five checks PASS → deploy promoted
3. Signed Verdicts:
Every result is signed by Selo, and anyone can check it offline with selo verify against Selo’s public key.
A PASS is bound to one release, URL and method, so it can’t be reused to push out a different release.
4. Never charged twice:
If a run is cut off mid-payment, the CLI won’t pay again on its own. --resume fetches the same result with no second charge.
If Selo’s payment to your endpoint is unclear, the funds are held, then settled or released only on proof from the chain.
The proof is all on Algorand Mainnet:
🔴 Broken release, blocked: github.com/Enoch208/selo/act…
🟢 Fix, promoted: github.com/Enoch208/selo/act…

I think most people still treat trading competitions like pure spectacle.
Big numbers, unlimited capital, whoever takes the most risk wins. It looks exciting until you realize the results don’t really transfer to how normal people trade.
What caught my attention with this GGC setup is the $2k hard cap.
Everyone starts from roughly the same place. The public leaderboard then becomes less about who can throw the most money at a trade and more about who can actually manage positions under constraints.
That’s closer to how most people have to operate anyway.
Seeing the final day of the qualifier play out in real time, with every trade visible, makes the whole thing feel less like a marketing event and more like a stress test of the tools and the decision making.
Whether you agree with the format or not, the $2k limit forces a different kind of conversation.

Getting started should feel familiar. With Mera integrated into Spoke, you can create and access your account using a compatible passkey, with no wallet extension to install first. That means fewer steps between you and your first campaign.
Here’s how it works:
🔑 Create your account with a passkey. Set it up once, right from the sign-up screen, with no extra software needed.
👆 Approve access with your device’s built-in authentication, such as a fingerprint, face unlock, or screen lock, depending on what your device supports.
🔄 Return with the same passkey whenever you come back, and pick up where you left off: your campaigns, your referral links, and your rewards, all in one place.
Passkeys are tied to your device and your account, so there’s no password to remember, reuse, or lose.
Mera powers the account experience behind the scenes, so you can skip the setup and get straight to the part that matters.
